I know this move is a bit sudden and crazy, like jumping straight into an ic-cold lake. But hey, once you get adapted, the water's great!

Becides, think of the fact that NO-ONE has an advantige over the other... we're all about the same with post counts. You can always copy and paste old threads and make new ones in here, and plus, there's all the spiffy new emoticons!!!

I personally am glad about the change. The old forum needed it, and although we are all annoyed about losing our old threads/posts, it's a fresh new start for everyone. And we'll all eventually get everything back, and everyone will just have to learn to like it.

The biggest thing was the posts to me... i was 2 away from 2000...
but I am going to enjoy working up to it again, This forum will take some time to get used to it but I think it will be fun

I have to say that the new forum (for me) is even better than the old... And actually when I heard about the switch I was not that concerned, I just registered to the new forum right away.

Anyway, I appreciate all the hard work you put into the site, Arwen and all the Mods too!

Not a good acomparision... I NEVER adjust to cold water... *shudders*

I was a bit suprised at the move but since I have my own proboards forum I can see why the forum changed. The new versions of proboards are very annoying to maintain. This one also will load all of the banners and pictures for signatures and contests, unlike the new proboards. But I understand what your saying, moving all the thread will be annoying and getting ur postcount again will be too...but I was only a dwarf so its not as bad for me...

(wow...i feel like i'm lecturing or giving a speech! eek! sorry about that)

I like the new forum! i was a little dissapointed to see that i'm a hobbit again, because I finnaly was an Elf at the old forum. But hey, hobbits are awesome!

The only thing that annoyed me in this forum is starting from 0 posts again.. Other than that I love this new forum! It's much better than proboards which didn't even look professional IMO .. this forum has so much more features!

To be honest... I did like the other proboards site. This one is ok, but I just liked the other for the small things it had. And why can't you have some of the avi's you had back at the other one?

I'm surprised that everyone hangs so much on their posts.....I was a vala too over there...But I love being a hobbit. Hobbits are cute
And somehow it's a funny situation that we all have the same status....dunno why but I feel closer to everyone now.....

I like this forum!!!!!!!!!!
It came as kind of a shock when we moved..........and I was a tad bit annoyed..........because I had harmlessly been posting a couple of replies...........(and I had just written and posted my 100th post) when everything was locked and I couldn't post anymore. I kind of just sat at my comp in shock while reading the message written on the home page. Then I immediatly went to register at the new forum. My friend will be totally be shocked when she gets my email telling her that we moved.......she's all the way in Iowa.......I hope she doesn't get angry.......she has a few anger management issues.

I didn't find out til I got the newsletter this morning. I was kinda shocked since proboards had finally gotten a-u transfered to version 4. I have two forums at proboards and the new features are way cool!
And I had finally gotten to be an Elf but that's not such a big deal. It's not like it matters.
But one of my other favorite forums is a php one like this too and it's wonderful so I like this too. This type always seems more friendly, like Myra said, you feel like you know people better. Maybe it's cause we are all in the start together.

Anyways, let's not dwell on lost threads and such. It's not that important and starting fresh is always a good thing.

I am quite enjoying the new forum now that i am used to it...

I really like this format better, many more features and more professional. I do feel bad for the people with lots of posts, not me though, I barely had 100, so I'm not upset. This one's far better, besides that's life on cyberspace, ya' win some, ya'lose some.
