Post subject:  One Big Family Reunion
Okay.. it seems our AU family tree's have started to revive themselves after a very long hibernation. I brought up the idea of having a kind of family reunion for everyone so that we can get to know our family members better and perhaps welcome new people into the family also to some of our members and most of them said they would love to have a reunion of some kind. Maybe this could be an activity in our week long Winter Ball. Just a thought. :)

Yeah, I really like it,

Liek I've said before, people seem a bit lost in where they are in thier families, I think it would be nice. :-)

I like the idea a lot, as well. I know I've gotten behind with keeping up with family stuff, and I need to catch up again.. :blush:

I have so many family members that i get lost as well, I know my mother is Eldarwen and a sister Elenriel, and many children...

I think this is a splendid Idea

I think it's a great idea as well! :) I know I'm part of a family *hugs mum, Larael :hug:*, but the only person who I know is in it is Larael :hug: :P LOL The tree is so huge it's hard to keep up! I think this would really help ;)

I think it would be a good idea, it might be complicated but nonetheless a good idea. There are too many lost children wandering around this forum. :P

Sounds good. A couple of ideas:

1) We could start out the "reunion" by having "parents" take their "families" to "see" Fellowship of the Ring.

2) We could continue it with the ball. Oh, couln't this be fun "don't stay up too late" *sneaks behind the table and waits while Mom dances with _______ and then goes up to a group of guys hoping to get asked to dance* lol!

3) We could end it all with a great picnic, complete with fried chicken, potatoes, pies, cole slaw--yum! After all, that's what most reunions have, methinks. Either a board in Misc. Randomness for it, or even on MSN. With all the fun winks on MSN it could be fun--and don't forget nudge wars!

yeah I agree, this sounds like a great idea...whether you wish to do it during the ball or whenever :) I'd be glad to make some stickied threads during the ball for gatherings if you like...once you all decide what's best if it's the ball or as it's own event, msn or whatever whenever.

I'm afraid I only ever had "family" on chat and tag, as that's where I first found AU...and have just in the last 6 months found out how AWESOME all of you Forum people are too! I'm so glad to be part of it more. So I'm an AU orphan but I'll join in and help out if you'd like and feel free to adopt a lonely moddie... :p

So this is a pretty good idea from what I can tell. Personally I would prefer having it here [during the ball or whenever] because I don't actually have MSN and this could cause problems for other people. However, if the majority of the people would rather have it over MSN then yea for that. I do like Ivy's idea though. Adding it into all the other activities we're doing would be convenient for loads of people since we'd already be all together.

Now that we've heard these wonderful ideas, I think we can take some more feedback from my fellow members before we do anything more.

Sounds good to me. How about a Christmas wedding as well? :innocent: I don't like the idea of an MSN reunion as I don't have it! :teehee: But I think having it during the AU ball, will get everyone in the family spirit of Christmas. :-)

I agree with Larael and JF; we should have the reunion here at the board, because, obviously people don't have MSN :teehee: I think it would be good if we incorperated it into the ball, just since people will already be here, ect ;)
