Considering the current confusion regarding the ball, I decided to start a poll that will end tonight. Many members are expressing concern that not enough people know it is going on, and there isn't any Mod involvement. However, the ball should be starting soon. Please share your thoughts on what we should do.

Oh geez, if you are planning to postpone, any idea when the next date will be? I am hoping it will be continued cause this time frame was great for me. I have minor surgery coming up really soon and I am fearing that the next set date for the ball will crash into my recovery time and I will not be able to attened...

I'm not really sure what the plan would be for postponing it--sometime in September, I think they said.

I've voted for postponing the ball, as the forum is really troubling me right now. I couldn't get on for 15 minutes or so and the posting doesn't work right for me as well. So, if other members have the same problems, postponing it might be better...

Ah, I see. Though I had thought they tried not to do it in September because a large number of members here are in school.

I think we should postpone it.
We don't have to have it in September, just 2 weeks time would do. Just so we have enough time to get more people aware of the fact that the ball will be starting and that the Mods can find the time to help us with the planning.
At the Christmas Ball, Tin started planning threads ages before the ball was due to start - which didn't happen for the Hobbit ball and hasn't happened here - and she also started the many actual ball threads, and stickied them - again something we haven't seen since.
All this preperation helped to keep the ball organized. Stickying the threads meant they were easily visible and that they didn't get lost.
The Hobbit ball was not well planned, and even though we had lots of time for this ball, the same thing is happening again.
I would rather wait until everything is properly organized, than fudge another event that should be enjoyable and fun for all.

My apologies. I was mainly referring to the planning threads that we had at the Yule Ball that we didn't have at the Hobbit Ball. I had forgotten the thread you posted in this section.
Well I have given my opinion, and there's not a lot more I can say. *shrugs*

It seems we've made the decision to postpone it for a few weeks, but start the planning threads now. Am I correct in that assumption?

I believe so. The planning has already been started anyway so I had guessed that it will continue on so by the time the ball comes around, everyone will be prepared for it.
