I figured since this is about the site, I should post it here since I couldn't find any better place. Who approves people's accounts? I have a friend who registered 2 days ago but still hasn't been approved. She really wants to post. Any help??? :confused:

Because we get a lot of fake accounts here, advertisment accounts etc, the Mods now approve all members. It may take a few days, it may take longer, but genuine members will be approved as soon as it is possible. :-)

Can you approve accounts? She really wants to get involved but is not able. Or, better yet, if you can't, do you know anyone who can?

No, I'm just a member. It would have to be a Mod to do that. Well I know most of the Mods well enough to send them a PM and ask them, but I'm not sure which Mod tends to approve accounts or if they all do. And I'm not sure if I could PM them really and ask that, as it's not really the sort of thing a member should do. Sorry! But I can understand what your friend is feeling, so if she just hangs tight! :-)

Yeah, on here I can't tell who's a mod or not. Do the mods have different colors for their usernames? That's how it is on the other sites I get on.

You see under my name I have the gold stars and a title? Well the Mods have rainbow stars and their title is always Moderator.

They do, they're stars are rainbow. Except it seems they've been very busy with real life, or on vacations and such so they can't be on as much as they used to. Like JF said, PM one of them and I'm sure they'll get on it. :)

Mods go into a control panel. Right now there are *looks* 16 pages of acocunts waiting to either be approved and activated, or deleted. They're mostly spam accounts, so several pages will pop up in the couse of a day. To help, what is your friend's registered name? That way she wouldn't have to wait til we got to her page.
