Right now, members who have the privilege of custom rank titles can only change their titles every six months? Is this fair? Should it be more often? Less often? Should they be able to change their rank titles more often to start off since there are only a few members who have the privilege and change the time-span when there is a gradual growth of members with the privilege?

What are your thoughts?

I think that they should be able to change their title when ever they want, I dont understand why they shouldnt be able to. Maybe start to put a time limit on once we get more people having that ability, but since we only have 4(?) right now, I dont see why they cant change it when ever they want.

The Mods simply cannot set aside time to go through and change the titles for members whenever they want, because sometimes it doesn't seem like it, but the mods do have their own lives and we also do other important projects on the forum, chat, and tag so just getting interrupted to change a member's title every few days will set off our "groove" if you may.

Do we like the every month idea? Even with only four people and once a month, it idea makes me cringe, so maybe every two months?

And no, Elven Archer, unfortunately members cannot change it by themselves, because the forum was not even made for "custom ranks" and all that jazz.

I picked 2 months because I think that if they want a change, members should be allowed to do it, but I also disagree because they should put time into picking something they're happy with. Every five minutes should not be allowed, not even five weeks. If they didn't really like their title, then they shouldn't have chosen it.

2 months is fine with me. But it's really not THAT hard to change member titles from the admin panel. My forum's also phpBB and it takes me about a minute to create and edit ranks.

I think six months, at least. However, maybe there could be a small "grace period" where people who newly reached 9000 posts can sort of experiment and change it maybe once or twice in the first week or something. But when they settle on one they have to keep it for at least 6+ months.

I like your idea, Taurquende, but it'd be difficult to keep track of who recently turned and can do that and I want to keep as simple as possible, and I do insist of the custom rank members to THINK ABOUT their rank title before pming us.

I am wondering if we should have some special rule for people being able to change their custom rank titles with the balls. Basically, just being able to change it for the ball, like the username, and then be able to change it back afterwards.
