So is this whole "the-forum-makes-you-sound-like-a-pirate" thing going to be back to normal soon?

It makes everything I say sound slightly stupid/funny.

I'm reasonably sure that it'll only be lasting today. I'm not positive, of course, but that's my guess. lol

International Talk Like a Pirate Day is on September 19, and the 19th only. So, yes, it is only for today. ;)

I know... the only weird part is you'll sound completely normal in one sentence and in the next... :pirate:

It's like,
"Be careful not to break a leg, I have heard it is very painful.

Hello! My friend said person be people, and we are agreed, you understand?"

I wonder how they'll turn things back? I mean, if they told it to change every me to m-y and be to a-r-e, it'd make things just as interesting as they are now.

S'all well an' good, but I hardly require assistance in soundin' like a pirate. I be quite accomplished in that aspect, havin' played many a pirate in RPGs meself. If ye can talk like Cap'n Barbossa, ye can talk like any pirate, really. All ye be needin' is a conspicuous lack o' grammatical skills an' the occasional inventive spellin'. If ye spell like a pirate the same way ye talk like a pirate, well, then, there ye have it. All in th' phonetics, really.

(Ye'll be noticin' come tomorrow that my post be the same either way. I be an honest pirate, through an' through, an' there'll be no cheatin' on my part. :pirate:)

Well that may be all well and good, but for the rest of us it makes a delightful change. It's also is a heck of a lot easier to let the forum talk Piratey for us, while we post as normal. ;)

I also have to commend the Mods for choosing which words to swap for which, without making it too confusing. :-)

I was just kiddin', JF. I think the filter's quite nifty as well. :P

Be this the work of the whole modding team, or just a few?
