Hey i actually got this idea from council of elrond,and its really fun:The mods "make" 5 or more realms...like realm of lorein,Nienna,Rivendell..... and evryone picks there Realm and stays there for....1 month or as desired. there are heads for the realms to help out the mods. ANYWAY if u have any questions just PM me...I thought it may be fun to try.

Wow, that would require a LOT of changes and revamping, and I don't think any member, mod or the admin is up for even considering it. I've seen it on boards before and it's pretty cool, but I think we like our forum here just the way it is. Great idea though!

Basically, Kit, it works like Usergroups or Clubs, except there are only a certain number of sub-groups and they have leaders over them, etc. |

I was on a forum which had something like this. There were Istari, Huorns (sp?) and a few others, I was a Ranger. Basically, you're in a group and you post threads for your group. Others can see and reply (or they could on this other forum). It wasn't anything special I didn't think. It caused some wars between the groups as well, not all friendly either. |

Competition was the result when I was a member at CoE too. Friendly competition, but competition nonetheless. |

I think it's a cool idea, but we already have so many little groups here, like our family trees, clubs, etc. And of course Arwen and the mods have their hands full with real life as it is! |

Yes, I think it's a lot more trouble than it's worth. This sort of thing is better for roleplay-focused forums and A-U has RP's but is more of a discussion forum. And as JF mentioned, it just separates people in the long run... |

I think that they had this on the LOTRfanatics forum... it confused me and got even worse when they started taking away points for no good reason... |
