Thank you so much. We have... I think... two weeks to figure out how to get this cookoff to run nicely.

Ha. Less than that. We need more judges. And a set system of 'grading'. And a list of people joining.

I think that once it starts, people shouldn't be allowed to join, just to keep it organized. Like unlimited number of spots beforehand, but they have to join by the 7th. It would be more confusing if we had people joining in the middle.

Very true, unless otherwise specified. Like, you can be there for part of it... if you say beforehand.

Yeah, exactly. Like an RSVP thing. It would just be nice to have a Cookoff Signup list or sommat.

I will head and post "In case you were wondering" threads in the Contest and Fan Art sections.

I'm signing up!

And I think your point values, smeag, are pretty good. Though I don't know if we need two categories for blends, because they aren't that different. I dunno, that's just me though.

Right now, we are going to see how many judges are going to sign up.. and then distribute point values on a set system.

I'll definitely be joining as a graphics maker.

Just wanted to point out that I like smeag's voting system but personally, I'd give a colorization 10 points and a retouch 9 because I find wallies/blends are much more difficult than colorizations... (even though I haven't made many colors myself because I find them boring). And I find an avatar worth 2 points because if you make a really good one, it can take as much time as a banner. (at least, for me :P )

Just a suggestion, though.

I was going to divide avatars into two groups for 1 point and 2 points. In the end, though, that 1 point really isn't going to matter.

I find colorizations more difficult, personally. I guess it is the extent you go, though.

I added you. ;)

Imma joining.

I don't think that the blends should have two point worths, if you make a small one you can just enlarge it, and vice versa with a big one...

It's ok. Since you divided up the judging and number of points for the blends into two section, I don't see a point. Someone could just make the smaller version and then just enlargen it into the larger size so they get more points...

If you enlarged an image, a graphic maker can tell, and we will be on the watch for that.

I would very mush like to help judge. Unless of course you're only looking for people who actually make graphic to judge. I have a pretty good idea of how hard something is to make though... :)
