We need to advertise - big time! Threads, banners, signatures.. whatever.
It would be nice with a moderator post in the Announcement forum, it would be nice having a clean up among the old sticky threads in Misc. Randomness AND we need the Nomination thread stickied. I'm gonna PM the mod account and you're welcome to contact other mods if you are know anyone available.

Thanks you guys. I say we post more threads around the forum and when they're posted, we PM a mod to sticky them. And I agree with teh Ea, we could advertise in our signatures and stuff. It's time for some more shameless advertising. xD!

Do you all think we should PM eachother the nominations we get, so that we can all keep a record? And how are we going to choose who to vote for? Perhaps, the top five members with the most nominations?

Yup, I was thinking the same. We should probably post similar threads in Your Life, Introductions and Contests, and perhaps the RPG section and Fanfic (mainly because we have a new writer award)

If I remmeber correctly everyone nominated were in the poll in the previous rounds, and then we had a final poll if we had two members who tied. But let's see how many nominations we get.

Okay, I guess we just sit back and count the nominations now.

(As a note, it is importnat to get the thread in the MA section (hello, Mods? ) as that's where I--and some members, I suppose--would look and notice it first. Plus it keeps it official-ish.
Honestly I don't go into Misc. Randomness much so it'd be great if we could get identical threads up around multiple boards. )

How are we going to organize this centrally once we do start recieving awards? Is one person going to put the MASTER-LIST together or are we going to handle our own awards or what?

I just got a reply from Elanor, she's stickied the thread in MR and copied it to the Announcement board too!

I was thinking we could see how many nominations we get in during this week with the threads and our current advertising and if we're not satisfied by the weekend, we should probably go spam the forum by copying Aranel's thread to other boards and abuse the Shameless Advertising!

Rin, I guess we need a masterlist of some sort. Perhaps we could do something like a chain mail when we've got all the nominations in. So the first person posts the nominees to the next person, who adds whatever new names she's recieved and so on.
So far only one person sent me nominations, I hope you guys have more!

By the way, I recieved a question from someone, can people nominate themselves? (Personally I don't think this would be a good idea but I was wondering what the 'official' position was.)

Ara, I think you misunderstood me, I didn't mean to start the voting earlier, that wouldn't be fair.
I just meant if it seemed like people weren't aware of the MA nominations (e.g. indicated by very few PM's or no talk about it on the forum) then we should roll out the heavy persuasion stuff! But it seems to be going okay.

No, people can't nominate themselves. But of course they can vote for themselves.. and even multiple times... and we can't do anything about that really. But I'm sure people has a sense of fair play.
Everybody can nominate - including us.

Oh by the way... I'm rather busy with school this week. If you start the chain mail thing, please don't send to me. I'd like to wait until I've got better time, otherwise the PM will be stranded in my poor unattended inbox.
