A-U is doing what it used to. Pages not working, waiting hours for pages to load. Posts not showing up... any thing happening that we should know about moddies? Or are we just going to have to wait it out?

I'm afraid there's nothing we moderators can do and it's just as problematic for us. It's a matter of when the webmaster finds time to upgrade. Many, many of these problems will vanish when that's completed. She's mentioned doing it, it's just a question of when!

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but seeing as we have a billion threads like this I could as well just post here.
Basically, I'm having the problem Darky describes in her first post. The pages take a long time to load and I sometimes get this blank, error page when I try to post or just click on a topic. It's really annoying and it does it both in IE and Firefox browser. But I was still wondering if anyone else have noticed the same?

...I wonder where the disappeared threads go to when they're not here.. I mean is there some kind of parallel universe???

Hmm, the Jane Eyre thread still hasn't re-appeared again...
Yeah, I believe it's just a glitch but it's trying my patience... when I have to refresh several times or close the browser and try again. I hope it'll act normal soon.

In the past, I've found that if you go to the list of all your posts, find your last post in the disappeared thread, and click on the thread's link, it will randomly reappear. No clue why it does that, though. Maybe A-U has to be reminded of its existence.
EDIT: I just did that with Jane Eyre, Ea, and I'm pretty sure it worked. I see it now, at least. Let me know if you're still having problems.

I see it too, thanks for appearing the thread again!
I knew there was a way of magically conjuring the missing threads but forgot how. I tried a simple search but it didn't show up that way.

It's doing that thing that says Wed. Dec 31 1969... which is absolutely weird..
I think I've figured that out. It says Wed. Dec 31 1969 when the most recent post has been deleted. And so for some reason instead of going to the second most recent post before that it chooses to say 1969. It's like a default for the system for some reason. At least, that's what I've observed.
