Why do I have to sign in every time I visit the forum although I put a tick where it asks wether or not to sign me in in each visit?

What type of browser do you use? Internet Explorer? Mozilla Firefox?

I don't know if we both have the same browser. I can't say I know what's wrong. I usually get to the forum by a direct link [instead of going to the main page first] and that's how I get automatically logged in.

I have a direct link too. But I don't have such problem with any other forum.

I have the same problemon the Anakin and His Angel forum. i use a direct link and tick Sign me in Automatically but it still keeps me logged out.
maybe its a problem with PHPBB? becasue both this forum and the AAHA forum use PHPBB.

Yeah I also have Mozilla Firefox and I don't seem to be able to get automatically logged in either

Do you all tend to erase your cookies alot? I don't know if that's the problem but it could.

I don't delete them. Cause if I did, I wouldn't be able to sign in automatically in other forums too.

i occasionally get signed out, but it seems to just be at random times. it's rarely more than once or twice a week, so i just put up with it. i don't know what would make it be a problem on your computer. i doubt this has anything to do witih it, but do you by chance use AOL as an internet provider? cuz i use SBC at home and never have a problem, but my grandma has AOL and whenever i'm at her house i have to sign back in all the time. dunno it that's the problem with yours, but it's possible.

That happens to me everytime. If I close down the internet nd load it again it happens, but if I go to another site and then come back here it remembers. When I first came here it worked OK for a few days and then I had to sign in everytime. I can live with it though.
