Yes. It does, faster than you might think. And I was wondering if we're going to do Secret Santa this year? Because if so, someone needs to start organizing it; in the past we've started organizing it in September I think, and we're well past that now.
So, does anyone else want to do it again? And if so, who's going to organize it? I think I remember Keyodie saying last year that she didn't want to do it again (understandably), so someone else would have to... and I've hesitated to make this post for fear people would view it as a promise that I would (if no one else could, possible, but only if it was the last option).

i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this, i'm gonna regret this
I'll do it.
Setting it up should be fairly easy. But I need time after the Hallowfest to start working on this. I have a month off from school after my finals, around Christmas time so that gives me ample time to focus on the Secret Santa.
I'll have to know all the details though and if someone could direct me to the original threads. I'll be happy to start organizing it.

Kit! You are absolutely amazing. Let me know if there's any way I can help out.
I dug back and found the link from last years' for you:
2007
I absolutely cannot find the one from 2006, which is odd, because I remember the thread.
Here's basically what I know about it:
Keyo had people PM her if they wanted to do it. She compiled a list of all the participants, and then randomly matched everyone with a Secret Santa. She then (around early December, I think) PMed everyone who they would be making gifts for.
She posted a thread for participants to post their basic interests in, so their Secret Santa could look and get an idea of what to do.
We made the gifts, and PMed them all in to her. She then sent all the gifts out to the correct people on Christmas Eve. There was a group of people who made last-minute gifts for the people who's Secret Santa had not made a gift. So by Christmas morning we all received the gifts. We then had a thread to speculate on who had given us our gifts, and eventually to reveal who we had made gifts for.
[[Hopefully that was clear -- if not, I can clarify.]]
EDIT: After about half an hour of digging, I did find the 2006 interest thread. I absolutely cannot find the other thread though; it must have been deleted, because there's no history of it even in Keyodie's post record.

Thank you so much Fragile. It really does help and I think I remember bits and pieces of it now off of my swiss-cheese memory.
Thank you again!

Oh gosh Kit, don't kill yourself with responsibility!
You're too wonderful though. The Secret Santa is tons of fun. And if you wish to have some time off, I think members (such as myself) could set up the initial information and start compiling the list.

Wow...Kit, I have no idea how you manage it all!
I'm really looking forward to Secret Santa...I hope I'll have the time to do something really special this year.
And...random note...PD I LOVE your Lost and Boone banners!!!
yeahprettymuch.
Also, is there any possibility of a Yule Ball this year? I'm not begging for one--I know how busy these things are! Just curious, is all.

And, Kit, you're positively amazing. I'm sure the members will help out in any way we can, though...

I'm up for any possible way I could help; after all, I did suggest picking it up again.
And I always put a lot of effort into my gift... I'm hoping I have time this year.

You'll find time, Fragile. You always do. [hugs]
I'll try to get that up either this weekend or next. That way there's at least two weeks where people can sign up and then at the beginning of December I'll have all the names paired and sent out in time to be done for the week of Christmas.
EDIT: Thanks for all the offers of help guys. I appreciate it.

I'm so excited! Secret Santa was freaking awesome last year. If you guys need any help I'm sure I could manage. November will be really busy for me (NaNo and all) but I'd see if I could make time....
Anyways, hopefully it'll go as smoothly as last year!
