Well.. it's been building for a long time and I finally decided to come here and post this...
The forum is terribly misserable to load.. I just spend nearly 15 minutes trying to get a single page to load. And half the time they load they mess up when I try to post.
I've heard a few other people mention simular things and since my computer does fine on other sites I dont' think it's on my end....
Anyone else having these issues?

I'm definitely having some issues over here, too!  At first I thought it was just my computer because I have so much loaded on it, but I've been hearing complaints around AU.

This has happened many times in the past as well, with other posts about it. Ivy posted this answer, and my guess is it's the same thing.

I thought I was the only one that this was happening to and that it was my computer, so I am relieved that I am not the only one, but it still is no fun... hopefully it all gets fixed soon  ^^ _________________

The Copy Paste dance is one that we should all learn. It seems to be a tradition now... Not that it's really a good thing, but still.
We just gotta suck it up and hope it ends. It was going fine for a while there, so it's just a phase. Like it's 3 teen phase or something...

Bugs aren't phases, they've got to be fixed, which hopefully someone will do. Hmmm. They don't just heal on their own lol..

^It's true and it does annoy people away, if it goes on. Perhaps not so much the oldies who have given their hearts to A-U, but newer members probably won't be so tolerant and patient. I know I wouldn't, and I think it's a serious problem for all of us. It does curb my activeness here, especially if I'm short in time.
As for solutions, I understand Arwen is the only one who can do anything about it. I know she is busy but I assume she must still be paying the host and therefore having an interest in having her site running smoothly. Is there any way one of the mods could run the neccessary updates if they had the knowledge and the password or whatever is needed, or is it more complicated than that?

I don't have any problem to post, just to log in... I type my ID, my password but it takes long before I'm actually connected or it doesn't work at all...  _________________

I think it's gotten worse today. I've had to try so many times to get into certain pages or threads, and the page just goes blank. Then I do my "Click the Back Arrow Dance" and try again. And again. On the fourth try it normally works. _________________

I reckon maybe the forum just needs an update? Or if the mods don't even have enough knowledge of this sort of thing, maybe even one of the members - someone that Arwen knows and trusts - could help out. Because I know that there must be quite a number of members here who have an extensive knowledge of PHP and HTML who would probably be able to help. Just a suggestion. _________________
