I'll most likely be updating the information post I made last year (since it was a pretty good info post and got the job done) so go ahead and start any activities threads that you want. I'll get a writing contest one running soon.

P.S. The theme sounds perfect.

Now I'll have to work on what my sig-set shall look like for the event! I am the host(ess) afterall!

Oh, I'm super excited. Hallowfest is the best time of the year. :)


I think that we need to start advertising soon, though. Since the 17th is going to be on all of us quicker than we think.

Okie-dokie. Well I'll start with the contests over the next few days, and I think you're right Tar, we need to start advertising now.

And maybe if any of us are in contact with people who we know come to the Hallowfest, but maybe don't visit AU that often, we should probably tell them about it.

Facebook's a good way to just give people a heads up, so once I get the information and sign up post up, you can link to it through facebook or any other networking sites that you're connected to AU-ers.

I'm so glad I checked this thread. Last year was my first real Hallowfest, since I didn't have time to be around for the first one. I am terribly, terribly excited about it, though I have no idea who I'm going to go as just yet. The contests sound fantastic, by the way!

Also, did you guys like the image that accompanied the roleplay? The one that gradually got updated with clues and in the end revealed the killer?

I'm even more excited for this year now.

The image was a big help to a lot of people so I wouldn't want to see it changed or anything.

The t-shirt for today is a limited edition headless horseman [which is EPIC] shirt that's basically perfect for Halloween. If you have the money and the access, I STRONGLY suggest getting one just because it's so awesome. It reminds me of Hallowfest [and JF] a whole lot. So like I said, if you've got the money it's pretty cheap and as per how teefury works, it's only available until midnight EST tonight.

If someone could establish this year's Writing Contest that would be great, you don't particularly have to run it, but if you could get the contest post up, it'd help a lot. My hands are kind of tied right now with life.

Anyone here a writer?

BTW, has anyone had any success contacting people outside of AU? On DA and things like that. Looking back at last years Hallowfest we had people like FM and Altariel and I'm not sure if they know about it this year. :-)

*drops by* I knew about it, but have been way too busy to get ready until I came in today. Hopefully I'll be able to participate, though maybe not quite as much as last year.

FM has been insanely busy as of late-- I'll mention the Hallowfest to her though, and see if she has time to drop by at all. :)

:teehee: I have never been able to keep up with you all, so sadly I will not be participating.. But perhaps I'll consider a name change in the spirit of Halloween. ;-)
