I too have been wondering about this. Is it happening this year? Anyone seen Ammy around? I'll be happy to spearhead it if not

And we might even be able to pull Smeag in again. At any rate, I think there are enough of us who have been around that we can pull it off. I always love it, so let's go for it.
Might as well start tossing date ideas around now, so that half the summer doesn't go by before we know it.

I'm actually not too busy this summer, so I'll be able to participate fully this year. I can help out if you need it.

Hmmmm, how about the opposite of Fairy tales? Like vampires and such. Sorta like the temptation of darkness?

To be honest, I would much rather wait until we have results from last year before we start organising this years.
I think it's only fair on everyone that entered and spent the time. I'm not saying that this years wouldn't be fully completed, but I personally, would rather the time I spent last summer was rewarded before I spend X amount of time this year.

Results never came out?
I guess I never noticed because I don't really care so much about the tallying and votes and such. I join because it gives me a reason to make graphics and stretch myself. That being said, I'm all for continuing it even if we forego the voting. So that's just my two cents worth.
I know one theme idea tossed around last year was the world, where you'd do things featuring major cities across the world. I think that would kind of cool.

You'll have to get in touch with Ammy or Smeag to get the results. I had forgotten about not getting them... but I don't mind since I just had fun doing it...
I know what you mean though JF..
----
So sort of Villains of sorts and mystical beings? Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts... etc

I'd participate. I missed last years... is there any way I could help?

Well having fun is one thing, and I don't want people to think that I only care about points.... but I did a lot of stuff last year that was different for me, and I was proud of it. I was looking forward to hearing what the judges had to say, and if they had any advice to give me. That was one of the points about the cook-off, to be nudged into doing things we wouldn't normally do, and to be given feedback for it at the end.
So yeah, I am a bit bummed over that, as it was part of the cook-off and I'm not going to lie, I was looking forward to seeing if I would get any rewards for my hard work. It was also part of the cook-off.
I like the idea of the world or cities.

I'm gone for a portion of July but I'd still love to have a GMC this year. Hopefully I'll be able to do it for at least a little bit. And maybe have two again? And have the second be a little less intense, I had fun doing both last year, although I was super tired out for the second round.
I like the world idea as well, or perhaps an out of this world/world theme. Possibly?

Umm, well I know I never really participated in this, but doesn't this happen during RotR? Which is the real reason I'm posting - are we having one this year, or just foregoing the entire RotR celebration?
Off topic, sorry, but I was wondering how this summer was going to work.

^ I *think* the GMC was always seperate from RotR Aratman, don't quote me on that though.
So are we all in agreement for a Wolrd/Cities theme then?
@Darky :: I think another 2-pater would be a great idea, incase anyone is unable to attend one of them.
@JF :: I'll see if I can get in touch with Ammy about the results as I agree, although I was mainly in it for the fun it's always good to get feedback and such.

@Ara: yes, the GMC isn't part of RotR. I know last summer RotR was kind of a burnout. I was thinking about some ideas for this year and such a few days ago, but I don't think that's for this thread, haha. Perhaps we ought to start up one of those too.
@Darky: I loved the two weeks as well. I don't know exactly how you'd do a less intense one, though. Did we do requirements at all for specific graphics? I forget. If we did, then I suppose we could lessen those..?
Hope I/we didn't come across as pointing fingers or singling you out or anything JF. I do agree, feedback is nice to have.
