Greetings........I would like to post photo images of some of my work, but each image file is too large to post. Any suggestions? Thanks, so much!

I am not the best person to ask... i don't understand the Kb and all that. However, I do know that you CAN downsize the Kb simply by downsizing the entire photo And it's over all size.

If you have paint worshop or some similar program (which is about all I know how to use) you can load the inage in there and then right click, choose select all in the me ue that comes up and then right click again and choose the re-size or "stretch/skew" options to make it smaller.

You can also search online for "free picture resize program" I know they are out there and have used a few successfully but it has been so long I could not tell you the name of the program oe how to use it. I donremember it being sinple and straight forward, though.

Thanks, Jax Nova - I'll give that a try, again.

Alternatively, you can use a remote hosting site, like Imgur, and then link the uploaded photos. That way you don't lose quality by compressing them. What is the file size limit here?

I used to use photobucket. Still have my account there that I've had for years, but unless you pay them, the site bogs down with pop up ads and very slow response when I go to my account. It seems to work ok for linking once the photos are uploaded though.

A photo hosting site is a good idea too... I've just never got an account with one. I never knew which ones were worth using and which ones were not. *shrugs*

But, I don't do a ton woth photoes anyways.

It seems that a hosting site might be the answer.........thanks for all of the input.

I'll recommend Imgur as it's simple, easy to use, and responds quickly so you don't spend a long time with uploads.
My experience with Photobucket has deteriorated over the years and I've bene transferring out a lot of content when I get the chance.

The picture has to be less than 750 pixels wide. Use the Img box, and paste the direct link code between the [img]&[/img].

I just spammed pix all over this thread.

Ok, there is an easier way to do it.

On imgur, down the list is a 'BBCode' that you can just click 'copy' from there and paste here without messing with the IMG box here.

............and, this is an unfinished "felted" sculpture of Gandalf that I never was able to complete - a much beloved teacher from many, many years ago retired, suddenly, and I sent this to him because it was he who introduced me to Tolkien in 1975.

I used almost 2 pounds of wool fleece and it took me about 3 months, off and on. I had intended to dye some of the fleece for better effect, but never got to that point.
