You must have come across the CBD. It is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, which recently swept a considerable following in the health world. Everyone's raving about it—in health food stores, on social media, and even down at your local coffee shop. Some say it's a miracle cure for all kinds of problems; others aren't so sure. With all the buzz, it's hard sometimes to know what is happening and what isn't.

CBD is derived from the cannabis plant, and that word probably makes you think of marijuana. But no fear, it's different. It doesn't give the "high" feeling that marijuana does. Fact: While CBD does bear some promises to help in health-related areas, it is not entirely an all-cure product. Research has suggested that CBD could help with things like:

Reducing anxiety
Improving sleep
Easing some types of pain
Helping with epilepsy
But there's still a lot we still need to learn. Many of the claims about CBD's benefits need more research to be proven. Be careful about believing every health claim you hear about CBD oil / CBD Olie.
