I recently tried them out for a small batch of handmade gifts, and honestly, I didn’t expect such a big difference compared to the usual packaging I use. The boxes felt sturdy, had a nice weight to them, and gave the whole thing a more “finished” look. A couple of people even mentioned they kept the box to reuse later, which made me feel like the packaging itself became part of the gift.
That being said, I did notice a few downsides. They’re bulkier to store (definitely not as easy to flatten and tuck away like regular cartons) and a bit more expensive. I’m not sure if it makes sense to use custom rigid boxes for everyday shipping, but for special orders or premium products, they really do stand out.
I also found a little guide on different box styles here that gave me some ideas for finishes and designs.
Curious to know has anyone else here tried
custom rigid boxes long-term? Do you think they’re worth the cost, or better saved for special editions and gifts?
