I thought it would be a good idea if we had another rank after you become a Vala, then you can have another goal. :)

Yes, I think that would be brilliant!

So many people have become Valas, and it becomes easier and easier as more and more threads are created. I miss working toward another rank. :(

Well, right now you're just working to beat Curunir, Gwenneth. :p One goal at a time. Well --- what rank could possibly be added? I do believe a Vala is basically God in the Tolkien world!

No, Kit, there is Eru, the creator (go read the Sil, Kit! That can be your goal... :p) Which I think would be slightly confusing, since there are enough people using that as a nickname in the first place... so I'd suggest maybe Iluvatar instead...

I think another rank is a good idea, we'd just need to come up with a good title... :)

I think it's a good idea, but I dunno, having the rank of Iluvatar or Eru seems just....a little inappropriate. What would you think of adding another rank (or more than one) before Vala, so Vala was less attainable?

I dunno. Ent? Human (we only have Dunadan)? Instead of just "Elf", perhaps Sylvan Elf, Telerin Elf, Noldorin Elf, Vanyar Elf (if I remember my elf types...)? Istari? Rohirrim (although I don't know where in the rankings that would fall)? Ringwraith? Orc? (just kidding!)

Tolkien definitely created enough races for us to choose from.

*thinks new members might be... not thrilled to start off as orcs* sorry, but it's true. I think we should stick to "good guys"... somehow. (does this make sense? It's just that some people see themselves as their 'rank' and may not be happy being an orc or something...) But I like your list, Kit! :D

And I agree with Arwen that Iluvatar is not quite... appropriate... :p

Human (being lower than Dunadan.)
Dunadan (I don't really think we need Numenorean too, since the Dunadan were decendant from them.)

Ent (before or after Elf?)
Istari (okay, so they are Maia. so what... :p )

??? What do you think?

Perhaps Arwen could be evil and set it so that no one has reached the vala mark yet?.. just an idea.
