I don't know about anyone else, but I'm on dialup and some of these huge sigs are really slowing down the load time for these pages. Would it be possible for there to be a limit on sig size?

Yes, however, I do notice that a lot of people have multiple sigs that, put together, end up as a good deal larger than that. Why so many huge sigs, anyway?

All right, sorry, I missed that. Still... it is honestly murder on my connection, and I know I'm not the only person still using dialup.

I personally think that the limit is kind of high...1 regular banner + a small banner is a good limit I think. It doesn't affect my internet but I know it must be annoying.

I don't mean to be pointing my finger at people, you don't need to be sorry, as that's not the limit. I tend to change my signature/avatar a lot as oppose to put a lot in it, which must confuse and annoy some people.

Thanks for your input guys, I've just alerted the mods of this thread, so we will begin discussing it. We want everyone to be able to use the forum at the utmost convenience, whether they have dial-up or high speed. Is there anyone else who uses dial-up and the sigs have been a problem for you? (or even if you don't use dial-up)

my aunt has dialup and i post from her house sometimes... the banners dont show up sometimes, but it doesnt really slow it down for me...

I want to say I don't think the character limit should be reduced...because even with just one banner, and some text is hard to fit it in if you want links in your sig.
