I brought this to a new topic from the last few posts from the Gil's thread so that it can be seen

Well a few of us think that it would be better to have an entire new category (or subforum ... whatever it's called) for PS battles. Actually if you look now in the Fan Art section, nearly the entire first page is PS battles and because they're in the FanArt section, nobody really looks around the battles to view the Fan Art that was really there as fan art. So basically the battles sort of replaced the fan arts in a way?

And the battles aren't really fan art anyway. It's like putting the section "Requests" into "Fan Art" because requests are nearly all fan art except for a select few. So yeah I really think another category should be made for Photoshop (Graphic) Battles just to neaten things up a bit and to avoid confusion?

Umm.. good point, I noticed that too... OR it's like asking for comments on new banners and avatars on the Signatire and Avatar board when you could actually post in the Fan art section...

Aww, I'm sorry for being so annoying and bring it up again, but the only mod-free sub-board seems to be the Signatures and Avatar board. We never reallyknew whether it was gonna stay. Perhaps the name could be changed to contain the PS Battles?

^Yeah the Sig and Avatar board is a better example ... and I agree with changing the name ... it saves the hassle and the battles could be moved to that section...

Well, I didn't mean to pick on the poor Sig and Avi board in particular (I already did that in another thread, lol), but I thought it could be a practical solution in order not to have to create new boards...
But perhaps Arwen and the mods are waiting to see if the interest in BS Battles will die down when the first battles end, before they do anything..?

Yeah I guess ... but it would be harder to dig up all the battles and move them to another thread later on because there are more and more being made

Arrgh the Fan-art board has been turned into a battle field!!! I used to check in there when the first PS Battles started, but I can't keep up with anything in there anymore, it's too crowded. And it's a pity for the non-PS Battle related stuff there.

Yeah exactly!! I see a few people actually have Fan ARt threads (I'm one of those people) and nobody pays any attention to them because of the PS battles!

I agree with moving the PS Battles to their own forum (or chaning the Sig/Avatar forum into a PS battle forum ). That's what I first mentioned when we started, but Arwen and the mods wanted to see if they would take interest first Maybe now they'll reconsider

On the subject of the sig/avy board... what is its purpose? does anyone acctually use it?

But I agree, we really do need another forum for the battles. the fan section is for bragging and fealing proud about your work, and I really feal that all the attension is being taken away by the battles. that get frustrating.

Yeah the sig and avvy board ... well it doesn't serve much of a purpose because if you want to show off your sig and avatar you can do it on the Fan Section, which is what I do. So yeah like I already agreed, I think we should change the sig and avvy board to a board for graphic battles, or make a whole new board for it.

I agree that the PS battles are kind of taking over the Fan Art board...maybe someone should PM a moddie about it?

I'm sure the moderators do check this board frequently, so I assume they'd be aware of the problem. But perhaps one of them could post a message here just to say they know about it. I think that'd be helpful...

A new board would be fantastic...and as Haldir o Lorien said, it will be easier if it's done sooner because there will be less battle threads to move.
