Now this may (or may not) upset a few people out there but..well...here we go...

Personally I think that particular thread should either a) be removed or b) make it so posting these doesn't count.

Now I'll admit it, I've just posted there about four times, the first time I have ever even used that thread..but I've stopped now. Why? Because I think it's pretty pointless.

I have to squirm at my post mentioning I had a toothache..that's not getting people to know me as tomorrow it may be gone. Surely posts saying *I'm a girl* when everyone knows this is just another way of adding another number to your count? (not saying anyone has said that, it was just an example) Originally it seems to have started off well but now it seems to be an excuse to..well..get more posts. :confused:

I don't know, maybe it's just me.... :bye:

Aye you have a point there ... I will admit that maybe 100+ of my posts are all down on that thread, so maybe we could have it removed to Misc. Randomness?

Ha, I've actually been thinking about this for a while. :D

It's a fun thread, nonetheless...my vote is to having it moved to Misc. Randomness.

I think moving it to misc randomness seems to be the way to go. I know it's not a thread I've exactly followed closely, but it sounds like its basically become a game, and games DO belong in misc randomness.

And the common room was supposed to be for statements such as 'argh, I have a toothache'. So such comments can be carried on there.

I'm just going off to move it, then...

I'm glad you all agree with me gals!! :-)

Well I was following the type of statements other people were making and then I read the original post and thought "nope not quite right".

With this theme bouncing around in my mind, I came upon the Picture Thread...
Is that really a game? I think sharing pictures has to do with real life, and they certainly do recieve comments...

You know, I've been wondering for ages why the picture thread was in the misc. randomness...In fact, I think I'm going to go move it to the "Your life" section, because technically it is YOUR life...;)

That's a far enough comment. The Picture thread was made when there was absolutely nothing in the misc randomness board, which is why it went there.

What do people think about the "I should be..." thread? It's similar to the getting to know you thread, in a way... ?

I think it's almost exactly the same as the Getting to Know You thread! Like you'd said about the 'getting to know you,' the 'i should be...' thread has people saying random things about themselves, without saying anything at all that's related to what the person above them said ... I think that should be moved to Misc. Randomness too :yes:

Yeah, I vote to move the "I should be..." thread to the Misc. Randomness section too. It's pretty much become a way to gain posts too...

Not really ... it mainly goes like:

I should be brushing my teeth

next person: I should be eating dinner

next person: I should be mowing the lawn

And so they don't really connnect ... I went to that thread before and it's mostly .... well ... random
