Yup.... would be nice. I tried that a few years back. Messaged mods, looked them up on facebook. Etc...
Basically the answer I got is only Arwen can do that because all the mods have forgot how to get into the site and edit that part... and since Arwen the web miss is too busy with Real Life... no hope of that happen in the near future. Sadly... :/

in two words... anything new.
A tip to this new TV series in the works would be nice.
Unfortunately, sites/forums like this one have become victims of the facebook/twitter/instagram society and there is no longer a need for sites like this. Those who remain tend to partake less in the tech of the day, and like book stores, are slowly coming to their eventual demise. Know that I will haunt each and every ond of them until the end (even the one I was banned from due to marriage politics).
Long Live the Forum, Creative Writing RPs, and the exchange of thought in this turn-of-the-century tech!

I think the main issue is that no one except for one single person is able to actually do these things. I used to be in charge of news and the official email account affiliated with the site; but loooong lost are the instructions on how to access said things. Otherwise I, for one, could easily at least update the news section.
Maybe if everyone who used to have access to stuff like that got one single reminder on how to do it all it could run semi-smoothly at least.

But they are absent, and though I hope beyond all hope that they may come back, I have resigned to the fact that this site disappears when the domain name expires or the benevolent host decides to use the server space for something else. It is good to see Will drop in and work at enforcing the rules from time to time, and takes care of the bots aplenty, but I doubt this, or many other Tolkien forums will see 2020. That said, I would LOVE to be proven wrong.
