Thanks. I know the avvie is sad, along with the banner, but I feel sad, so it reflect my mood
I found the screencaps on www.david-tennant.com
It's a great site, it has everything that deals with David, and the screencaps were up like an hour after TEOF aired. They're not HQ, but they are good enough to make banners
Aww you just made me cry with that! It would be so amazing! How I wish it was true!
Sadly, I've been reading something about season 5, and you know what, it looks interesting. I mean, some of the ideas for the episodes, a lot of people returning (I read about at least 3 people returning, if you want to know who just tell me, I wouldn't like to tell you a spoiler you don't wanna know)...I mean, season 5 could be amazing...IF ONLY DAVID WAS IN IT. Not Matt Smith, thanks.
Oh, it would've been such a great new season, if David was still the Doctor...

Thank you, I should have thought of checking that site first before asking you
And oh yes, tell me about the 3 people returning pwetty please? Let me guess.... it's Jack, Martha and River?
I know what you mean about Season 5. I mean, I love most of Steve Moffat's episodes and I think he's a great writer - he may have a bit of an less epic style than RTD, but at the same time, he doesn't tend to go as crazy with his ideas as RTD sometimes does *coughMasterJumpcough*. But this Matt Smith... come on. I could easier accept an actor like Christopher Eccleston, older than David and not even making an attempt to be handsome , just being himself and doing a good job. But Matt Smith is inacceptable. With a Doctor that young, DW is going more in the direction of an everyday teenie romance series, if you know that I mean. Everything that's special about the Doctor gets lost.

Yeah, it's such a great site
SPOILERS FOR SEASON 5 OF DW:
I read that, the 3 people returning are: Mickey, River and Yvonne (was that her name? The head of Torchwood in Doomsday and Army of Ghosts, you know, the one that was upgraded into a Cyberman).
I completely agree with you. I can't, simply can't, accept the idea of a younger Doctor. With new companions! I say pics of the new girl, and I'm afraid it's gonna be again like with Rose. I mean, Rose is fantastic and the Doctor loves her and everything but...new Doctor, new love? I will hate them if they do something like that. Plus, could you imagine someone like Donna with someone like Matt Smith as the Doctor? They would look like...I dunno, mother and son? Same for Jack and the Doctor!
Gosh I could go on talking about this forever.
DAVID PLEASE DON'T GO!

Oh, I'd love to see Mickey "Tin Dog" returning And Yvonne... really? I thought she died at Canary Wharf. That should be interesting!
The problem with such a young Doctor is that it is impossible for a 27-year-old to convey the feeling of century-old grief and wisdom that the Doctor carries with him. And the personality of the Doctor and his conflicts is the ESSENCE of DW, so I know even know that it won't work.
I feel that same way about 11 and his new companion... but I'm afraid it is just as you said - a new Doctor falls in love with someone new. In "The Doctor's Daughter", the Doctor mentions something about a family and kids he once had, remember? Perhaps this is what he alludes to by "Some new man goes sauntering away...And I'm dead" - that he can still remember the feelings he had in his other regenerations, but he doesn't feel them anymore. It's indescribably sad, but still it feels right that his love for Rose should die with him. Nonetheless, I'd hate to see 11 with another woman as much a you do. It would be best if he didn't fall in love anymore AT ALL, but such a storyline would hardly keep the series going.

And what about River? She belongs with 10! I know that everytime the Doctor changes, nobody's happy about the future actor, but Matt Smith just doesn't feel right to me!

Yes, I so agree with you! Chris Ecclestone was fine at it, David was perfect, but Matt Smith...he's just so young.
One thing is for sure, I would hate to see the 11th Doctor with Rose. I know she isn't coming back, but if that ever happened, I'd freak out. I'd get the phone number of RTD and start calling him day and night to ask him what the heck is he trying to do. Yeah, he shouldn't just fall in love at all, but it's impossible...I'm not so sure I'm gonna watch this season 5. Well, probably I will, because I'm curious about River, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna like it!
10 is MY Doctor forever.

Give 11 a chance, guys. The same people that cast David Tennant were (I'm assuming) the same people that cast Matt Smith, they know what they're doing. He was the one that they thought stood out, regardless of his age. And you can just tell he's excited about the role, how can you fault him for that?

I know, Shadowcat, you're absolutely right. But still I feel so sad about David leaving...

I'm sad too. There's not really a whole lot any of us can do about it, though, so I'd rather give Matt Smith the benefit of the doubt.

Shadow, I've heard that argument various times now, and of course Matt Smith should get a fair chance to show his talent. I'm not implying in the least that he's not a good actor (as you said, they didn't cast him for nothing), and of course nobody is blaming him for being excited about the role, that's just the way it should be. My point is just that with his very young age, the whole concept of the Doctor's character won't work out. You can tell me I'm overhasty, but from the experience I have from years and years of watching movies and reading literature, I just know it's not going to work. I'd love to be wrong, and if Matt Smith's performance refutes my statement, I'll happily apologise to you and all his supporters

The thought of you stalking RTD is one of the few things that can cheer me up now.
And yes, I'll probably be watching, too, just to convince myself that we were right. And because of River. But, frankly, I don't believe they could make something great out of that now. Right, we don't exactly know what her relationship with the Doctor is going to be like exactly, but judging from Silence in the Library, this is going in the direction of a romantic relationship, not just one of friendship, don't ya think? So... how is this ever going to work?!
edit.
My icon. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Well, I'm just a pessimist because I hate big changes, especially in the shows I love. But yeah, Matt Smith deserves at least the benefit of the doubt. His isn't an easy task, for sure, and I think he's gonna do his best, wheter I like him or not.
Ahah I'm glad that cheers you up. FF
Ah, I don't know how they're going to make the relationship with River work, that's why I'm curious.
Btw, I just saw The Christmas Invasion. Blimey (I'm starting to talk like Jackie Tyler, I'm afraid ), it's such a great episode! I love the scene where the new Doctor has to choose his suit, and he having dinner with Jackie and Rose for Christmas. Aw I miss season 2.
Ahahahah I love your icon, FF! Minnie rocks! *coughtsLuckyHercoughts*

Aaand I just have to say how much I LOVE your new siggy, Rev! I miss Happy!Ten, too. So very much. The scene is SOOO cute!!
It's funny you're talking about Season 2, because I just got the Season 2 box set from the library and I'm sitting here on the sofa watching all the specials And OMG, have you watched the Deleted Scenes? There are some very cute Ten/Rose snippets that I've instantly fallen in love with. ♥
Now I just watched David's Video Diary and I couldn't stop crying. All those bits and pieces from how it all started... David being so nervous during the shooting of his first scenes.... him watching the first Christmas Special at home with his family... to see how exciting it all was for him personally, and then to think that it is all over now. Oh gosh, I'm crying even now while I'm typing this. It's all so insanely sad, to think that those times will never come again.
Oh and btw, I LOVE David's parents! When he is asking them "What was it like for you to watch the Christmas Special yesterday? Was it such a surreal experience as it was for me?", his mum was just like, "Oh, it was alright. We're used to seeing you on the telly..." ROFL! Her son is playing THE DOCTOR on television and she isn't even overly excited about it! And the way they go on talking about David's "goggle eyes"! I was trying not to choke from laughing while yelling "HE HASN'T GOT GOGGLE EYES!!!"
You see, I'm already torn between emotional extremes, and the last episode hasn't even aired yet! I got a feeling that it's all going to be even worse on New Year's day. Oh dear.

Thanks After watching The Christmas Invasion, I couldn't resist
Ahah well, I'm talking about season 2 beacuse I just finished watching season 1, which was really cute, in fact
I haven't seen the special features yet, but I'm going to soon
Ahah really, David's parents?! I can't wait to see it now! LOL goggle eyes, that's what my boyfriend says about David as well
I know, I feel the same dear! Just one day left!

Yes, Season 1 is indeed very cute. I just can't get over the fact that the dance scene in "The Doctor Dances" would have been even cuter if they had been with 10 instead of 9
I don't know what it is about goggle eyes... David really has the most beautiful eyes in the world!
Gosh, tomorrow is the DAY OF DOOM!

Yeah, 10 dancing would've been...well, amazing doesn't describe it enough
And I agree about the eyes, they are indeed beautiful
I was thinking, FF, what do you think about a "lyrics graphic battle"? Always DW themed of course. Because there are millions of songs that make me thing of the Doctor, or Doctor/Rose, and I thought it would be nice to try something like that, if it's the same for you
We could either start it here, or start another one and keep this one going on, it's the same for me. Just let me know what you think of the idea!
My new icon will be up soon!!

Wow, that's such a great idea, Rev! We definitely have to do that! We can just switch this battle lyrics blends after your next icon, all right?
Ahhhh, tomorrow's the day!
You know, I just had some random idea. I may be nonsense, but I thought I should tell you about it. Have you got Skype? Now, after we've both watched The End of Time II, we could have a chat on Skype next week and talk about it and perhaps even watch it again together (like, watching it on Youtube, pressing the "start"-button at the same time ) and talk about our feelings.
Okay, this idea may be complete rubbish, and perhaps you haven't even got Skype, or perhaps you don't want to do this for other reasons. If you feel like this, I wouldn't mind at all, just tell me. I just thought I should tell you about it.

Yes, that's alright with me! I'll post my icon today, I promise
And that would be so cool, but sadly I don't have Skype...just MSN. It's a pity, I would've loved it. But I guess we can always talk about it here, even if it's not the same
