Thank you!

It could be his nose... I was thinking maybe his eyes were more off... But yeah the nose does look a little jacked. :X

I am still amazed at the pictures where you don't use any blending tools. Completely befuddled.

Don't worry, Kit! It just takes time and practice (I know that sounds cliché, but it's depressingly true). I try not to use too sharp of a pencil, either, kind of at a 60-degree angle? After a while of drawing like that, the graphite will wear down to a flatter area, that's ideal. And for unblended, don't do the "layering" thing like for the blended drawings. If you layer, it starts looking smoother, so for example, if I need a dark area, I don't just lay on more HB, rather I use the 3B in one layer, one shot.

Hope this was helpful! :)[/quote]

Very helpful! :D Hmmm but 60 degree angle [gets her compass]. It'll take a lot of practice, but I'm determined! :D You're a great role model, Twip.

Thankee.

Yup, can't stress it enough. Practice, practice, practice. And never rush, well, unless you have a deadline. I used to rush my drawings when I was tired of drawing and just wanted to finish them. Oops. Bad idea. Take however much time you need, but nevar evar rush.

Thanks!

By the way, guys, if you guys have any requests for what you think I should draw next, I'd love to hear them! I will certainly take them into account, and you never know, you might see your request the next feature on Twippo's Drawings!

Ooh! That's a good idea. She's so beautiful.
I'll probably draw her as Elizabeth Swann. Or some picture from a premiere or something.

Oh, and another suggestion would be Aragorn. :P :) But I love the Kiera Knightly idea also. :)

Hi, finally found the time to add this, it's an old Frodo sketch from January of '04. I just wanted to show you guys what I started with to get where I am now. It took a long time, more than 2 years, but I think it was worth it!

Oh wow. It's safe to say that you've improved a LOT! And it probably wasn't a smoothly paved road trip.

You're right, it wasn't, not at all. A lot of time I spent on DeviantArt ogling other people's art. I was like, "O_O... How the frick do people draw that good?!" And it didn't help that my older sister was also getting into drawing realism. So I had a little bit of, eh, competition. Plus, in the beginning, you might work on a piece for a couple hours and suddenly find something terribly wrong with it. But mistakes are the best teachers, so I never forget a mistake I made in the past, eh?

By the way, a big big big THANK YOU to our art contest judges Kitoky and Eruadan here, I had a great time participating in the contest, and I understand that judging is not the easiest job in the world. And thank you to the peeps that were full of support as well, I felt like I had more reason behind the drawing when I submitted it because of you guys. Thank you from the bottom of my hobbit heart! Props to all of ye!
