I was working on this for the blend contest at the main site, but I think it got a bit out of hand. It started as a palantír blend, but it sort of ended up looking as it doesn't have much to do with the palantír. I took the pictures from when Aragorn is looking into the palantír ("Aragorn Masters the Palantír"), but it's a bit hard to tell. I suppose the entire point of this is to ask if you guys think it is still appropriate for the contest ("The blend must be on the topic of the evil forces in LotR").

I love the blend. It's lovely.

I think it could still work for the contest-after all the palantír is still the main object of the picture and the Eye of Sauron is in sharp focus (at least that is what drew my attention first) and your theme does deal with a conflict related with the might of Sauron- so yeah, I'd say enter it if you want too.

Thanks for the good replies, I did end up entering it into the contest.

I seem to just take themes and run with them. Here's another blend I just did... book-verse rather than movie-verse. Again, it started out being entirely within the parameters of the contest, but ended up somewhat different. While it does have the Ringwraiths, it also prominantly features the forces of good (the whole barring the river). What do you guys think?

As for the second blend - it's just as good, if not better! But one thing I would change would be to make the text a bit more visible - I can only barely read it.

Thanks for the positive replies! I'm hopefully going to be working on more while on vacation, if I can take my laptop with me, so there will be more in the future, most likely posted after July 10, when I get back.

WOW, these are all FANTASTIC, you are soooooooooooooooo good at this! my favorite ones are the first one and the Grima Wormtongue one..I love the transperency effect in the GRima one! Great Job! Keep it up!!
