Edit: Just to let you know, I've just moved all these pictures to a different folder on photobucket, so that's why none of the links work. If people want, i can re-post them, but there will be more art posted once the camera gets back from Boston, along with my dad. ![]() Hi all... I've decided it's time to make myself an art portfolio on here, so all those who wish on A-U can see my work. ![]() ![]() I guess i'll post them in the order i did them. Seems logical. ![]() http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... frodo1.jpg <=Hopefully you can see the writing on his cloak... If not, it says "Bearer of my Heart." Fittingly. ![]() This next one is...possibly at the party in fotr, or maybe some other festive gathering when he was younger. I'm pretty happy with the expression on this one. (You know, that "skeptical smile..." sort of.) http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... frodo2.jpg Ringbearer and his burden...aw, poor thing. ![]() http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... frodo3.jpg Young Frodo and little Sam... (They are 12 years apart in age, after all--with Frodo being the elder, if that wasn't quite clear. ![]() http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... dosam1.jpg In this one, i suppose the Ring's getting to him... At any rate, another Frodo in Mordor pic. I'm not as happy with it as some, but i'll post it anyway. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... frodo4.jpg Frodo and Sam in Mordor... I guess i was going for a pic i saw from the "alternate version" of the star-in-the-cloudwrack scene, if you've heard of that... I'm pretty happy with this one. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... dosam2.jpg Also, here's one i did of Frodo and me, using pen (tracing over regular pencil) and watercolor pencil (a special kind of colored pencil on which you 'paint' with water after you color a drawing, so that the colors really 'bloom'.) I drew this because i was sad about Elijah having to cancel his appearance at ORC this year. But as you can see, i'm not alone. ![]() http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... odome1.jpg I'd also like to post a few other drawings... Here's a sketch of Haku and Chihiro from Spirited Away. (Great movie!) I'm happy with how Haku turned out, but Chihiro doesn't look very much like herself, at least to me... I guess she looks nice, tho. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... ihiro1.jpg ...And a sketch of Howl (in "bird" form lol...) and Sophie, from Howl's Moving Castle! http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... ophie1.jpg Another, similar sketch of them, i did, where Sophie didn't turn out as well... http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... ophie2.jpg And yet another one of them in the "secret garden." http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... ophie3.jpg And a watercolor pencil drawing i did of Howl and Sophie, before the water was added. (It's supposed to be post-movie. I'm not completely happy with it, but it's okay i guess. I think Howl turned out better than Sophie. You can see by the blue hair that i was kind of going for a slightly anime look... I mean, the film is anime after all. I don't know much about drawing in that style yet, but i plan to learn. ![]() http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... ophie4.jpg And the same picture, after the water was added. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... ophie6.jpg Moving back to Frodo (kind of), here's a sketch of Lij i did on the anniversary of last year's ORC... Not sure it turned out being my best, but i'll post it for you anyway. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/Ilyanye/lij1.jpg Lastly, a random sketch of a dark-haired girl... You may notice the "z" on both her necklace and the wings of the butterfly... That's there for a reason. You see, this girl was kind of representing either a character in my own world, or the place that the songs of Evanescence take one to (sorry, hard to explain...)--tho i don't know that i was thinking she was necessarily supposed to be Amy Lee when i drew her...she just has dark hair and a mysterious expression, that's all--or both. Sorry if that was confusing. (You may also notice that there are 'spikes' on the Z's outer lines...that's because i didn't realize that Evanescence's logo was a Z with a spike through the middle!) The dress of the girl in the sketch is off the shoulder... I hope that doesn't cause any problems. ![]() http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l219/ ... /zgirl.jpg I hope you liked my artwork so far, and thanks for hanging in there for this long! |

*applauds* Yay, lovely art Eariel! I loved all of your sketches so far, though my favourite one would probably be the "Frodo and lil Sam" one. ![]() ![]() I've no idea about movies like "Spirited Away" because I'm not that fond of anime movies, but anyway, beautiful drawings! Keep up the great work! ![]() |

Thank you both! ^Thanks for the encouragement---that's a fact i've discovered through experience. ![]() Eye obsession lol, Forever... ![]() ![]() You should see Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle... Even if you're not that fond of anime, these have a real emotional depth to them that you might like even so, and...it's hard to describe. Suffice it to say, Miyazaki's films are very good. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Another update! (Because I've neglected this thread long enough.) This one will include most of the banners I've made, so it will be rather long. But then, i suppose that's all right, for those who love graphics. ![]() LotR My very first banner: ![]() Some other older ones: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() These four were entries for a contest to do a banner with a Sam quote on it (and at this point, i had gotten a couple of new programs, so i was very excited ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And here's some other newer ones: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I made this one for my friends in the Frodo club...so we could infiltrate the general form with our obsession lol ![]() ![]() And here's my first (and only) wallpaper. ![]() And a couple of avies, to finish up. ![]() ![]() Well, so much for lotr banners. I have made a few non-lotr ones, so i'll go ahead and post them now. HP: Warning! Deathly Hallows Spoilers! So I'll just post the links to them, like this: link and link Avatar: the Last Airbender banners (aka Zuko banners, since he's my favorite character...sort of like lotr=Frodo in my case ![]() This is an older one (from before my aquisition of the new graphics programs i mentioned). ![]() Some newer ones: ![]() ![]() ![]() So, I hope you enjoyed my massive update. There'll probably be another one (of art) when my dad brings the digital camera back from Boston. So long for now, tho. ![]() |

Sorry for the double post, but as this is my art thread, maybe that's okay. Hopefully. Anyway, i wanted to post another Zuko banner i finished just now. So here it is. Actually, there are two versions of it. ![]() ![]() I had a hard time deciding exactly how i wanted to do the background text (what color it should be, basically), so there are several versions of that as well...but i won't post all of them here. ![]() |
