Post subject:  Feedback Please?
The image I'm about to post is a special image. A good friend of mine is self-publishing her book, so several months ago she commissioned me to do the cover. Another friend of ours had already completed the basic modeling, but I needed to change the color, change the shading, and add a silhouette of a person.


I didn't feel up to the task, but I spent hours and hours and hours on end working on it over the next six months. I went through at least five different versions of it. Finally I had it done, and she loved it, and everyone I know loved it. However... I'm not happy with it. At all. So I wanted to know what all of you A-Uers think, because most of you can totally blow me out of the water when it comes to graphic-making skills.

I love it!

I really like how the eye with the person standing in it stands out so nicely!

Although.. I am curious as to where you are wanting to put the title.

I love it too!

I think it is an awesome looking cover for a book, I really mean that. It's bright and bold and makes you look twice. I love the figure in the eye. :D

Wow! I think it looks great- it would definitely stand out in a crowd of books! lol The eye looks alive, like it's going to move at any second.

ooh! Nice, Altariel Frodo! I love the effect! It's so dramtic and perfect for a cover! Like JF, I especially love how you blended the peson into the eye! Great job! :wave:

I think for a book cover, that is very eye-catching and bold. I would definitely pick up a book with a cover like that - and I am picky about my book covers ;) lol. The only suggestion I have is possibly making the shadow-person a little sharper ;)
