As I've gotten back into drawing things [and am decent now] I thought I'd share some. At the moment I'm doing my favorite actors and actresses.
Comments/Constructive criticism is always welcome.
Katherine Hepburn:
Ingrid Bergman:

They're amazing! Great job, Nurr! I'd love to be able to draw that good.
Keep up the great work!

Thanks Rose! I'm sure you can draw, all it takes is practice.
Gregory Peck. Not the greatest, but okay.
And this....this is my absolute favorite drawing I have done. Of all time. Audrey Hepburn. And it actually looks like her!

Really nice artwork for starting out. However I have to say..the jaw structure of the actresses are way too strong. If you see women, you'll notice that they have a softer jaw structure than men. Also you have their faces a bit too long. Women have a slightly shorter head. You need to get your proportions straight too. A key rule to know is the thirds. Basically the distance from the hairline to the eyebrow, from the eyebrow to the nose, and from the nose to the chin are the same. I've noticed that you have the nose slightly larger. You do the eyes rather nicely, particularly the Audrey Hepburn one, but you have to remember, sometimes the pupil doesn't take the entire..eye. You need to allow some space for it. Lips are done well as well. But for women, the lips tend to be a bit fatter.
Some things that I recommend you doing is taking up grid drawing. Just for a while. Just to get the basic idea of a face. Also, try looking at drawing books that show you how to draw faces. They'll outline the differences between males and females much better than I can. I hope that wasn't too harsh or anything. I see some promise in your artwork.

WOW! GREAT pieces you have. I really like them. Very beautiful. *nod nod*
I really like your style. Very pronounced and very beautiful. I love how the eyes and lips are emphasized. I don't know if that was deliberate, but I think it works.
Your one of Ingrid is SO striking. I love it. It honestly looks like something I might see in a gallery. The only thing that bothers me a little is the shadow/shading on her neck and cheek. It's a bit too dark, and blends with the hair. But other than that, it's my favourite of them all.
I do think the hair on Katherine is perfect though. And the one of Audrey is a VERY close resemblence. VERY good work! You should definately be proud of the one of Audrey! It's wonderful.
All in all, I think you've got some great work here! You have a definite style and I really like it.

I'm going to assume you really want critique, so I'll give ya some ^^
It's not a bad stuff. Your eyes have life, which is a good thing. However, your proportions are like what mine were when I started a few years ago- off.
The jaws are much too pronounced (or w/e the word is... they are too large, basically) and the eyes (like mine were, and like many beginning artists are) are much too large. For your two top photos, you followed the fatal mistake of making the nose the center of the face, while it isn't for most people (it's lower than the center when a face is staring forward). You seem to do much better with your two later pictures, so I'll comment on those.
With Audrey, you looked like you were catching her in two different positions- looking forward and turning. Can't do that, it skewers proportions completely. Assuming she is *not* looking forward and her ear is placed correctly, her nose would be further to the left, and the left eye would not be as visible as the right, depending on how much she is turning. You got the jaw this time (very good), but if you were to cut off her jaw, her head would be a square. She should have a whole bunch of head/hair behind her ear.
In the end, not a bad start. I did about 100 portraits until I started drawing faces well consistently, so keep up the work!

Thank you all! Really, I'm just trying to get lots and lots of practice, so your comments are very helpful. You weren't too harsh at all, Caunion. Again, thank you both for your help.

Alright, I've done a couple more. I'd still love tips, of course.
Cary Grant. There's something...off...about him, but I can't quite figure out what it is.
Humphrey Bogart. There's something up with the ears.

I keep looking at your artwork and thinking----"I love this style." Because it's almost like a portrait piece, but there's something about it that seems almost... cartoonish. So I just like that blend of styles.

Thank you, both of you. Interesting observation, Kit. Not really what I was going for as I'm making these pictures but...I'm glad someone likes them.

Finally uploading a few more.
The Marx Brothers. I love them, so after finding >this< I took a |picture of the entire piece| but I'm giving you the two parts here. (It's better resolution)
And this one is a picture I did in art class for an ink project. Mr. Darcy!

Wow, it's kinda funny to read my earlier comments.
And I do see what you mean more now Kit. I can see the cartoon coming out. Well, I've been trying to practice a bit more. Mostly, though, I just sketch. Sometimes the sketch works out and I then put effort into it. Here are a couple of new pieces. [1]Wheel of Time: Mat Cauthon ponders the inscription on his ashandarei and contemplates the words of the Aelfinn. [2]Phantom Grey RP: The dwarf tells Jate he is royalty. [3] A somewhat conceptual sketch of Mikol, a favorite RP character of mine. [4] Sam, for a contest. [5] Norrington, also for a contest.

No comments or critique? Really, anything you've got in the form of tips or anything is great. And as a note, these look better in person than in picture.
[1] "In Memorium" :: We were supposed to use this still life as a way to tell a story. The photograph is of my grandmother, and everything else relates to life or death or her.
[2] "Boba Fett" :: Best character from Star Wars.
[3] "Han Solo" :: Second best character from Star Wars.
[4] "Star Crystal" :: I made it for potr for her birthday. This is one that looks way better in person than in picture, unfortunately. Though I think Kendath turned out alright.
[5] "Heartshard" :: Yes. If you have seen Stardust, this picture looks familiar. However, it is my RP character Jate holding the Heartshard. Charlie Cox was Jate for me before he was Tristan.
[6] "Jimmy Stewart" :: Pen, just a fun loose thing. It turned out better than some.
[7] "Gregory Peck" :: Also pen. These two started a series of some loose pen sketches, but the others were bleh.
