So, I got GIMP awhile ago, and I've been working on my graphic making skills. I'm still a beginner, and any advice, criticism, or comments are very welcome!
My first banner on GIMP

I liked how this one turned out. The text is from the song "Hurt" by Thousand Foot Krutch.

Here's the last banner I worked on. I might redo it- I had it in mind as being sharper, less blurry.

My first blend turned out to be rather nasty, so you get to see my second blend! lol. I made it for the random objects contest.

I don't have very much stuff yet, but I'll add more as I make it!

Ooh, very nice, Elenya!
Comments -
- I really like the Frodo & Sam banner; it doesn't look like a beginner made it!
- I love the blend - everything looks really grungy and it is really great!
- The first banner is great - I love the text placement!
*Creative* Criticism -
- I think the first banner needs a little more color
- The Frodo & Sam one; the only problem is the text is a little small and hard to read, but otherwise that's my favorite!
Great job! I look forward to seeing more of your creations!

First of all, I love the name of your thread! So cute! lol
But anyways... I think your art is very good! Especially for a beginner. I can tell you have an artistic eye, by the way you've used text and pictures. You might want to sharpen some of the pictures, they are a little fuzzy. Other than that, I think your banners/blends are very good! Keep of the good work!
By the way... GIMP has an awesome effect called SoftGlow (I think, lol) that looks really good on some banners... I used to use it a lot when I had gimp. I don't know if you've used it yet, but I highly recommend it... it's so pretty! lol

Wow! You've done a really brilliant job with your graphics. I really love the "Winter Light" blend. Keep up the great work!

AAAH! I love Audrey Hepburn. So I automatically love that banner. And I really like the simplicity of the Jean Arthur one. You've really got talent, keep it up!
