Goldie, that is such a gorgeous volley! You know that set I made you yesterday? Well, this put that to utter shame. I really like that font, too. What it it?

I have a feeling this battle will be more difficult that the last. All of my favorite couples are unrequited, so now I have to think a little harder to come up with something that will work. I decided on Pride and Prejudice for this round because...well, I don't really know. I was just scrolling through a page of movie screen captures and thought of Lizzy and Darcy's tender scene when she tells him she loves him without words.

Awww, thanks! I really like the coloring of your banner, and Tristan and Yvaine are quite adorable. It really suits them.

I decided on Tony and Pepper from Iron Man for this one, and the lyrics fit one of their scenes perfectly. Tony is hanging onto the roof above the Arc Reactor, and if he falls he had no chance of surviving. Pepper is standing below him looking up at him and...well, I won't tell you all of the circumstances surrounding this. If you've seen the movie, there's no reason to write 3 paragraphs about it. I don't know how I like it because it's the style I'm trying to move away from, but I guess it's ok.

Here's my volley for Feeling a moment - I used my OC and canon pairing Goldomir. I think the song really suits them, though they don't really have a happy ending, but their love is requited
They're both so similar - they have this really stubborn devotion to Gondor, and that's one of the key factors that draws them to each other. Though Boromir eventually decides that it isn't possible for their relationship to continue, the time they spent together was intense enough to make an imprint on the rest of Goldleaf's life.



Oh, and the text I used for my "Pale" volley was Amienne, and I used it for this one too

Ahem. So, I just had to use A/E for this song. Thankfully Goldie let me do so without much of a fuss. The first time I heard this song was to a spectacularly heartbreaking A/E video by my favorite vidder of all time. Even though I've watched this video on and off for over a year, every time I see it I fall in love with A/E all over again. Naturally, this song has come to be a main A/E song to me and I can't imagine using it for anything else. There is my lovely explanation speech. Thank you, thank you. *bows*

Hey, someone has to offset your obsessive F/E nature. I can't let you go around without some to check you, now can I?

I really like how simple your work is, Goldie. That glowy text works so well for you in this volley! I have a little advice. It's not anything major, but it's something to think about. I've been experimenting with a lot of color without using many textures, and because of that I'm developing a different look that I like a lot. I think that you should try working with different lighting and coloring, and you might find something you love! The song fits them very well, by the way.

I am now coming in with a Willabeth volley. Yup, I did indeed. I actually really like this volley a lot. As you can tell, darken and multiply have become my new best friends. heehee Don't tell anyone, but I've sorta but not really stolen this idea from Shadow and Lothy. Shhhhh! lol

Here's my volley for Chasing Cars... E&F, naturallyyyy!! It took me aaaaaages to find a colouring I liked.





I've tried to put across in this set what their lives were like before they met each other - Faramir's treated terribly by his father despite his best efforts to do what's right, and Eowyn feels so alone and cold in her life. I love this song because I think it represents brilliantly how perfect they are for each other! *Squeeeee*

The blending is so smooth on your banner! What you were try to get across is perfect for F/E. I chose a couple that I never use but still love anyway: Buttercup and Westley! They are really so sweet and do everything for each other. Plus, the lines fit when they've just rolled down that really steep hill and are sprawled out on the ground. It's so touching to see them be reunited after years of being apart.

Sorry about the wait! I decided to take a small break from battles yesterday. I really really really love that gradual glow on your set! I just keep on staring at it for some reason. The text is perfectly placed (and looks a lot like mine ), and the pictures are perfect for those lines.

YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE PRINCESS BRIDE???????????? I didn't bother to explain who B/W were because I thought that everyone had seen that movie! Well, even though it's an American classic (made in 1987), it might not be well known in England. I shall explain. The Princess Bride is about a completely gorgeous girl named Buttercup and a farm boy named Westley. They fall in love and he has to go off to get money so that he can marry her, and he dies at sea by Pirates. Buttercup is claimed by Prince Humperdinck (he's really weird) and is going to have to marry him, even though she still loves Westley. To make a very long story short, Buttercup is kidnapped, Westley (who's not really dead) comes back as "the man in black" to rescue her, they're reunited, Buttercup is taken back by Humperdick, Westley is tortured by "The Machine" and dies, Inigo Montoya and Fezzik get a miracle man to bring him back to life, and they save Buttercup from a marriage to Humperdinck. Tada! Yes, this is one of my favorite movies. Here's a fan made trailer.

Moving on. I chose Evelyn and Rafe for my couple, and if you don't know who they are, they're from Pearl Harbor. I normally don't like canon couples, but they are the exception. I expected to like her with Danny, the other guy, but I just couldn't. In this movie, Evelyn thinks Rafe is dead and goes off with Danny, but Rafe isn't really dead and they end up getting together after Danny dies.
