Welcome to the epic three-way battle between SilverRose, Esteleth, and Altariel Frodo. This battle is in celebration of the band Red's newest album, Innocence and Instinct.

Round 1 :: Fight Inside [[lyrics]] Round 2 :: Death of Me [[lyrics]] Round 3 :: Mystery of You [[lyrics]] Round 4 :: Start Again [[lyrics]] Round 5 :: Never Be the Same [[lyrics]] Round 6 :: Confession (What's Inside My Head) [[lyrics]] Round 7 :: Shadows [[lyrics]] Round 8 :: Ordinary World [[lyrics]] Round 9 :: Out From Under [[lyrics]] Round 11 :: Take it All Away [[lyrics]] Round 12 :: Overtake You* [[lyrics]] Round 13 :: Forever* [[lyrics]] Round 14 :: Nothing and Everything*
*Tracks on the deluxe extended album

Each round, all three of us will make a volley using lyrics from the listed songs. Pictures can be from any fandom, or personal photography, or stock photos. Creativity is encouraged [of course]. Headbanging is accepted [though preferably not while making the graphic itself]. Let the battle begin.
[If either of you have anything you want to add/change, please let me know; I am by no means adamant that this has to be one way or another. Whoever finishes their first volley first can start us off.]

I shall go first then. Yeah, I so had to use Star Wars for this round.

*runs in* I have arrived, my friends! Sis, I agree with Tariel; the font is amazing! Tariel, I really love how you showed both sides of Frodo and sort of combined the two faces of him together!
I think we all had the same idea with this song. We all ended up showing both sides of a character! I had no idea who to use for this volley at first. I though about Aragorn, but he didn't fit. Then it dawned on me. Gollum! I don't like this volley at all, but I do like the thought that went into it. I put the larger picture of Gollum as the prominent image because that's the side of him that won in the end. I really like the lyrics because in that scene, Smeagol knew that he didn't want to be bad, but his Gollum side tried to trick him. [/end rambling]

Yay for all three of us thinking alike! Tariel, I love how you contrasted the lyrics and the pictures. Sis, that's a really good blend. The internal struggle between Smeagol and Gollum has always been one of my favorite parts of LotR.
Thanks, Enno! I didn't know you liked Red (or Star Wars XD)

I went more with the 'Instinct' aspect for this blend. The Ring brings out the worst of both Frodo and Gollum. I know the 'you' in this song really is yourself, but I think that the Ring represents the 'instinct' part of everyone.

Rose, that's like the perfect scene to use for that. Excellent choice. I wouldn't have thought of it, honestly, though it works so well.
Estel, I think that's one of my favorite graphics I've ever seen you make. I don't know what it is, but it's just... so well done. The pictures blend so well, and the textures work perfectly...
I get the feeling there will be a lot of Ring-related volleys. This next one turned out a bit darker than I wanted, but hopefully it works. I've made so many graphics using pictures on this basic subject, but I couldn't resist doing another one.

*pushes jaw back into mouth* Wow. You guys are incredible! Sis, your blend is seamless, and when I saw the fonts you used.... What are they? I want them.
Tariel, I've always loved how you work all of the lyrics into the background of your blends! I really like the the contrast between the orange and the blue. I think I was planning on using this scene, too, but I can't remember for sure.
I think this song fits very well for Spiderman, even though I'm not a huge fan of him. I liked how the third movie covered his dark side and how it almost destroyed him.

Sis, the fonts used on that blend were Broken15 and Porcelain. (Which I used again in this volley. Something about the font of the month makes me want to overuse it excessively...xD)
Um...wow. AF, that blend is so rich in emotion...it's so sad...and the lyrics fit so perfectly. The text is also beautiful.
Lol, great minds think alike, I guess--I was also thinking about using that scene.
SR, I really like you're volley, though I haven't seen that movie. I love how you curved the font!

Soyeah. I usually don't like Disney sequels but I've always enjoyed The Lion King 2, and Kovu is one of my favorite cartoon characters. I'd make more Disney graphics if cartoons weren't so hard to work with...
BTW, I love your set, Silver. =D

OK... so I am in complete awe...
Rose, I LOVE your Death of Me volley. It's absolutely amazing. And that really is perfect for that movie.
Estel, I really admire you for getting animated movie stills to work - I'm terrible with that, and with anime. It's just harder.
Thanks, PD! I love having stalkers. ...that would sound really wrong out of context.
I have a volley for Mystery of You done, but I hate it. So I think I'm going to make another one, which may take a day, may take two - we'll have to see.

Yay, we have a stalker! Thank you, Cally! (<<--Random nickname that I pulled out of thin air.)
Take your time, AF. Of course, I can't wait to see your volley but you can take as much time as you need.
And yes, animated stills are really hard to work with for some reason...which sucks, because about 70% of my favorite movies are animated.

^I've only tried to use animated pictures a few times, just because they are so hard. Even computer generated images are hard sometimes.
OK, so my volley. Very simple (just some basic text, one texture, and some color work), but I felt adding anything would take away from it.

That...is wow. The simpleness really makes it stand out, especially the way you used negative space. The text is amazing and the picture...so sad! It's cool that you used the line "Just tell my why I'm so dark inside"...that is probably my favorite line from that song. It just sticks out for some reason.

Sorry for the wait! I was really busy, and only noticed today that AF posted her entry.
Sis, that's such a cute blend! I don't know much about Disney movies (I didn't watch them when I was younger), but I do know enough to know that's Simba, right? I hope? I think I saw that movie once.
Tariel, I love the simplicity of yours! And, of course, the fonts rock. The picture of Sam is so sad. *sniffles*
I had to think about what to use for this one, but I finally came up with something. I think this works perfectly for the Phantom!
Yay for Porcelain!

You didn't watch Disney movies? *gasp* They are all awesomeness! (Well, most of them.) That's actually Kovu, from the sequel, which is one of the few Disney sequels that is worth watching.
Anyways, your volley=*swoon* It's so sad, though...I just want to run up and hug the Phantom! He deserves a hug! And I love what you've been doing with the text in your graphics lately. So glow and pretty...
My next volley might be a while. I had a spurt of graphics making a while back but now my brain's ran into a wall.
