I don't know if I am going to make more or not but here is the Rivendell lot I made for my Arwen sim. XD I forgot the lot size I bulit it on though. It's not the best but I have to make it live-able as well. :frust:
This lot has so much custom content, it's unbelieveable. It's due to all the custom content that I am greedy and not sharing this lot wih the Sim community. (it would take forever to refind and list all the stuff to make this lot function properly)
It took about a month to collect all the content used to make this, then another three days to build and another two days to furnish. Imladris was a bit of a problem child for a while. I still can't fix a portion of the roof you will see what I'm talking about... I had to use cheats to get that portion of roof there.

Anyway, here are the pictures:

Rin, that is so freaking awesome! I love the Sims 2! It's so great to design stuff but I'm no where as good as you - I'm so jealous of that Rivendell you've got there. :teehee:

I'm glad you all like it! :D
It took me about three or four days to build and design, and a lot of cheats to make it the way I wanted. I used a number of movie stills as reference for certain areas as well. It took about a month to search the net for LOTR and LOTR related items used in the lot. Furnishing the lot was by far the easy part. One of the really cool things about this lot is that the waterfalls are animated and have sound. So you walk by them and are able to see the water rushing out and hear that wonderfully calming sound.

I would package the lot and put it up for download but it would be too big for the sites to manage. :( I used so much custom content that I don't even remember where I got most of it and that would create a problem for others trying to use it. :frust:

If you ever come to Los Angeles bring your computer (my game is on my laptop, lol) and I'll make you one. :teehee:

Wow... that's genius! I have no idea how Sims stuff works so most of that was lost on me but... yeah, beautiful job. Well done, Rinoa! *thumbs up*

My Sims game is so bogged down with custom content as well that I hardly ever play it anymore because it takes so long to load... and usually I end up deleting my towns and people anyway. I would also never ever have the sort of patience that is required to make that.

@ Cal: Thank you very much. The Sims can be a bit confusing sometimes. XP

@ Aramel:  Yeah that happens. I deleted one neighborhood only to end up remaking from scratch. I don't even play it that much anymore. :P My game is a little slower than it was but it isn't too bad. A lot of stuff on the Sims requires patience come to think about it. Creating you Sim, building the house, gaining all those skill points... :frust: It gets really addicting after a while though. Have you ever tried to play the Sims 3? The Sims 3 is even more difficult to play with custom content I hear. The graphics take so much longer to load and it is insanely customizable.
