If you do not want your work commented on, post it here in big bold letters so no one misunderstands.

When you have the chance to, post a credits list here for any brushes/textures/stock photos you've used in your art so we don't get into trouble for copyright infringement. It's unlikely, but we're better off safe than sorry.

You'll have to check with Goatcloset for that I'm afraid Nurrshey, but I'm sure she'll be along soon to inform you.

I've decided not to actually take part this year as I have waaaaaay too much going on in real life to even attempt making something more than once a week. But Next year I shall be here and kicking your arses ;) In a nice way of course :P

Haha, I'm going to be slowing down come Monday. So I'm trying to get everything in now as I can. :P

Why is it that I can't spend time on the computer when I have the time? I had all day, and I went for a walk, went out to eat, sat and read....why am I such a failure? :teehee: But my eyes kill from staring at a computer screen, so I suppose it's good I did that. >.<




Skitty: I love your banners! Especially the "out of the blue" one, because the colors are fantastic.

Enno: Matt Smith! Eee! So awesome. And gotta love the Eliza icons. ;)

Eehehe thanks Nurr, I'm just trying to keep up with you but you've got so much that it's extremely difficult... I guess it doesn't help that I'm really picky when it comes to pictures to use, so that alone takes me forever to decide. :P

Anddddd.....this is why I decided not to participate this year. I'm very intimidated by how quickly you work! All of you have so much wonderful goodness already. :swoon: I'm blown away by what's been posted so far, and I look forward to seeing more yummy graphics. :happy:

I slowed down quite a bit. I think it was the first big rush. Now it'll be pretty steady low amounts until Friday again. Heh, I jumped the gun on the pictures. I spent free bored time just collecting them all into a GMC folder on my computer, so then I could just start working as soon as it started. And why I love icons. "Picture...eh, crop there...done!" :P

See I should have thought of doing that, it would save SO much time sifting through teh interwebz for suitable photos... I'm quite exhausted to be sure from all of this and it's only been what? 2 or so days? :swoon: But I must admit for this being my first year, it's muchos fun! :teehee: Icons are lovely, I'm especially in love with the eye pictures I found, so sparkly and alluring... :drool:

Everyone's stuff is incredible, I have to say, there are a lot of talented people here and some haven't even gotten any graphics up yet *nudges Pan & AF*!!

Anywho I've got a terrible headache from making so many icons just now, I think I'm going to crash as it's half past 1 AM here... :yawn:

Ara, I LOVE the sparkly eye icons you've made! So pretty! :)

I've really just skimmed the thread so far-- I shall have to look over it in greater depth once I am on faster internet. :)

I'm getting off to a slow start-- my weekend ended up being busy, and I'm working on a big writing project as well right now, so time feels pretty tight. But I have a few things up! I have more made now, but they're on my external harddrive at home, and I'm at work right now. It's been fun for me, since this is my first Cookoff using Photoshop Elements, so that adds a fresh element to it (literally as well as figuratively).

Panneth: Kirk! And Spock! <3 I love your variances, my dear. My stuff always comes out completely the same, but your style hops everywhere and it's so awesome to see!

Skitty: Mwahaha. The queen of exclusion and negative space. Have I ever told you how much you influence me? Cause it's true. Your stuff is so fantastic. And I love your skills at lightening - so I think my favorite is the "problem" blend. Plus, you know how to use brushes/texture like no one's business.

Enno: Nathan Fillion! Awesomesauce. I love how bright and happy all your stuff is. And so colorful. Strawberries FTW.

Ara: Fwee, Disney princesses! :P I think it's so cool how you don't tend to lurk around fandoms like some people *coughmecough* but just bounce all around the place and make it look effortless and ahhhmazing while you do it.

AF: I LOVE your blends. They're just so.....cool. I know that sounds like a lame word, but they totally are. I can't wait to see what else is coming. :D



Also, I came across this, oh, about a month ago, and it revolutionized my life. Or something like that. Yeah. Anyway, it's about optimization and how you can make your big graphics smaller file sizes and such, and thought I'd share. Because in this place, the quicker we can get these threads to load, the better, right? :teehee: Just a note though - I've noticed that if I follow the way they do this, my saturation drops. So I just add a saturation layer of about +20-30 to get it back up to where I want it.

Thankee AF, I must say that I admire your graphics because of the way you compose them, each and every one is so unique and interesting (and if I might add I'm particularly in love with the 2nd & 3rd icon because I have a thing for Converse shoes :happy: )

Panneth, Soren/Alex/Eric is hotsexydroolworthysquee on any graphic and I think you've managed to make him even more amazing somehow... :drool: I love how you've been taking your time whereas all of my graphics are rushed xD

Annnndddd Teh Nurreh, I always hated icons too, I was never any good at them until I discovered Hue/Saturation - I love bright colors and vibrant things and when it comes to pictures I'll start at something like stars and then my mind will just go on from there, popping up random things that eventually take me from stars to rubber duckies and traffic lights... :lol:

W00t I am so pumped up now, I can't wait to start making more stuff tomorrow <3

^ Just noticed this from last year. Not sure if it means the kind of avatars I make... ? But that's what I like to do. Get a good image and use if differently. Paved With Stars is full of that type. :blink:

^I would think that as long as you're limiting it at 10 or so, it would be okay? :lost: I dunno, I often do that too. I guess just don't go too overboard with it or something. I recall making 50 out of one picture once...ah, memories.... :P
