*double posts*

I finished two drawings. here's Eowyn. I don't think it's as good as I imagined it would turn out to be. I know I need to lighten up the outline of her face. her hair didn't come out right at all... I'm terrible with long hair!

and here's Frodo. (edit: why is it so big? I went down to 400x400 on photobucket and it's not changing anything! sorry everyone!) anyway, I worked a little longer on this one, and his hair came out all right, I think. you can't see a lot of the facial shading. the main thing I'm disappointed with is his lips. eh, they never get drawn like they should!

next I'm going to do Legolas. I *think*. I've tried before and it didn't, um, work out. hopefully the next attempt will. :)

...and I finished Galadriel. there's something wrong with my proportions, I think. and I am doing Legolas, I'm just not done yet.

any suggestions on how to fix the lady of Lothlorien?

You have really good drawings. :) your shading is pretty decent too (something I suck at). One thing I would recommend is to work on your hair... while your face looks realistic, the hair doesn't seem to match. but other than that, good job! :D

I think for Galadriel, the nose and mouth are just slightly too big. A good rule of thumb for mouths is that the corners are usually in line with the eye's pupils. They're really good drawings though! Excellent shading!

thanks Nurr & Eru!
@ Eru, I know... I haven't seemed to work out a good way to draw realistic hair yet. it's definitely improved from my first attempts, but it doesn't look like you could touch it. :P

@ Nurr, thanks for the pointer on the alignment. tomorrow I'll try erasing a bit and adjusting. it should help. thanks guys!
