Your starting banners blow the ones I started producing out of the water! I am still trying to figure out how to blend beautifully! I think if you mess with the coloring tools, and then with the exposure tools (found under adjustments which is under image or edit, I believe), then you can come up with some pretty wicked results! Also, up on your first post, I just have to say that I am in love with the way how you blending the map of Gondor into the sky; brilliant!

awh, thank you Tur! I kind of took a little break from banner making, so as I start trying (again), I'll try working with exposure tools. I don't think I've done those yet. thanks! :)

some random Elijah banners I made :P I've noticed that when you don't have scenes to work with it doesn't come out as well... and yes, I know I need to resize them smaller.

Those are awesome! I don't see any need for resizing. I especially love the first one. The only advice I'd give on these is about the text. On the first, I'd suggest making it white and putting it in between the two pictures. I'd move the text on the second up to the big grassy area, and on the third move it right where the white is the brightest. But these are really good!

thanks Nurr! the first one is my favorite too. :)

I'll move the text and repost once I do it, maybe with a few more. I see what you mean about moving and recoloring it though; it kind of blends in with the picture.

Oh my gosh, I love all your banners! My favorite is probably the first Elijah one, but the others are awesome as well. Just the thing I need to take my mind off my college worries--staring at Elijah's face!

But all fangirling aside, I really like what you're doing with photoshop on all your graphics. You may be just starting out, but you seem to have a good grasp on the program and you have a unique sense of style in terms of fonts, textures, etc. Looking forward to see what else you create! :)

Oooh! Very nice, Alanna! I really like the pictures you've got there. I like how, in the second one, Elijah's face sort of. . .how do you put it. . .blends into the whiteness? Not really what I'm trying to say, but I think you know what I mean. :)

you guys make me smile. thanks for your comments - they mean a lot to me! Nurr, he's the resized (I think) and edited versions. I think the text move improved them.

I love this latest batch of banners! I can't even pick a favorite...probably either the first one, the Eowyn one, or the one of Sam and Elanor. So adorable! <3 Great job!

I have to say, I really love the quotes and fonts you used. They really make a big impact. The "in your heart, you begin to understand... there is no going back" one almost made me cry... in a good way :) I don't have any tips... wish I could help besides motivation to do lots and lots more
