Hi there, I think I would like to pursue a career in art, maybe be an Art major in college.
Drawing is hard, but not impossible. I'm deadly serious when I say absolutely ANYONE can draw like I can. One simply needs to take the time to do the practice. I've been drawing my entire life (which isn't that long really) and have never taken any formal art classes before in my life. You just need the passion and motivation for it, you have to want something out of drawing, you know?

Hi there! Thanks for the comments, I replied to them. Thanks and your work is stunning also! I wouldn't be surprised if I saw your drawings in a museum somewhere in Rome.

Hehe, I never used to be very patient with my drawings either. You can kind of tell I was like that with my older Naomi sketch, I didn't put as much time or effort into it, but for this one, I'm really taking the time to make it as detailed as possible. And patience is still something I'm learning to have, but I've noticed my drawings are so much better when I spend more time working on them.

It's just technique. I'm sure there are tutorials or art books out there that will help you. You have to use the pencil kind of at a 45 degree angle and make smooth close strokes so it looks good. This requires a steady wrist. You need the most control as possible. Maybe one of these days I'll put up a drawing tutorial...

You are a really good artist, Twippo. I do agree with you, to an extent. I don't have much of an ability when it come to drawing, but I love it. However, I have been drawing certain things (mainly dragons and horses) for years, and I am now really good at it. But your drawings are amazing, and to get that good you have to have a good amount of natural talent.

I suppose, but I think if you're passionate about it, you're much better off than someone learning just trying to impress others.
I've always been confused when talking about talent. I mean, how do uncoordinated people become these amazing athletes? They weren't born with it, they just practiced, of course with motivation and support. I don't think I was born with talent, I just loved to draw all my life.
Fantasy is cool, I've never really drawn animals (too much fur! o.o ...and scales.) I could never have the patience or consistency to make animal skin and such.

OMG. I didn't know you were back! [huggles]
Argh. This new one is just.... BEYOND amazing. I'm serious. The moment I saw it, it made me want to swear it's so beautifully done. And it's not even finished!!! >.< Ack I can only imagine how it'd be once it's done.
