Hey, I need some help. I have been told I have talent in making graphics, I make my own, but I have had no tutoriuls (sp?) or lessons. Can someone give me some tips or advice on how to make better graphics? Thanks!!

Well, you can't get better *snaps* just like that. It takes time and practice. :) So you can't really learn to make better graphics, but what you can do is learn new techniques and experiment so that you get better.

If you're looking for tutorials though, here are some sites that you can go to:
http://raindrops.lemon-drop.net/ (My site)
http://themagic-box.net/indexx.php
http://the-butterfly.de/
http://hybrid-genesis.net/
http://touchstonesart.com/
http://www.state-of-daydream.net/elanor/
http://www.pisgah.org/silver-glass/
http://www.d-designs.skyefairy.net/

What program do you use?

May i also suggest getting into a graphics battle with some one with a little more experiance in the graphic making art then yourself. its really helpful, because you have to try harder then you normally would. Imporved my skills alot I think.

Also with the tutorials. They are great, but just cuz you know how to use effects doesnt mean they will make you graphics great. Some of the best images I have ver seen are basic photoshop creations. Without brushes or anyother down loads or anything. So althought they are helpful, dont trust in them completly.

Hey that's the same as me!! I first started by using the AU banner tutorial and I just took it from there. As has been metnioned, it's just a question of practice, learning new techinques (through the help of tutorials usually) and getting inspiration from other people. Also enter lots of contests, even if you don't win, it will give you experience and if you receive suggestions as how to improve, try and do what they say. :-)

Fencing Maiden - If you go to the Fan Art section, a stickied post will explain battles and you can go from there. ;)

Yeah, I entered a battle. Thanks for your site too, Johnny's Fan! I got some nice textures there. ;) I'll give you the credit for it, don't worry! Man, awsome site!

I suggets you check out the tutorials on this site, they're really good and you just have to keep on trying and experimenting. That's how I learnt things just suddenly click and then you get better at them.
