Oh, layers is kind of a hard concept for some in the beginning...
Layers are pretty much 2-dimensional planes that lie on top of one another. To create a new layer you just press Ctrl+Shift+N. Layers with images on them are Raster Layers, and Text Layers are ones that you can change text on. Layers are invisible, so you can create one over another, and depending on what is put on each layer and the opacity, you can see through layers, unless they are totally filled up with an image or something. That's how people get fadey effects. One layer containing an image is placed over another, and the opacity of the top layer is reduced using an eraser tool or changing the entire layer opacity.

Don't you think Mods should pin this tutorial? So that people can see it?

Ok, I put 15 px where I was supposed to, i selected what I didn't want but it's not putting them together. Did I do something wrong?
