I've got the same programs you have, and ImageReady is the one that does all the animation stuff. Basically what I do is open the images that I want in Photoshop, then click the 'Jump to ImageReady' button (or Ctrl-Shift-M). To add more slides use the 'duplicate layer' button on the menu where your pics are, like this:
On the layers palette, click the little eye icon next to your layer and it should disappear. Then select what layer you want to copy to, then you then go back to photoshop, copy the picture that you want and paste it onto that layer. Keep going in the perspective until you get your animation! You can change the speed of the animation - on the picture above, underneath my picture it says '0 sec', and a little downwards arrow. Click that little arrow and set the amount of seconds you want it to be. The longer the time, the slower the animation.
