I have PSP X and I would really like to understand what brushes do and how to use them. It would be really great If someone could tell me or give me the link to some tutorial site. That would be really helpful, Thanks

Well there are many ways... First, load them to PSP (File | Import | Custom Brush), open up your images, images, whatever you´re working on
Then make a new layer (Layers>New raster layer), pick up the brush tool (it´s bound to be somewhere around... ) and place them around randomly with whatever color you wish, usually it´s white or black. To make it look better, play around with layer´s opacity and Blend Mode (I like Overlay).
Another way is to apply them directly to an image (w/t adding a new layer) and play around with brush´s blend mode and opacity.
