Post subject:  Making Brushes in PSP
I would really like to start making brushes in PSP7, but I haven't a clue how to do so! Also, how do I get them onto a site? I mean, how do I allow people to download them? But first things first, so if anyone can help me actually make brushes, it would be much appreciated.

I think I can help you out.


Step One: when making brushes always start with a transparant or white background. Brushes must be 500x500

Step Two: Make a new raster layer.

Step Three: Select your paint brush tool, paint color black, Opacity 100. Start experimenting.
(If you would like to know what your brush is going to look like create a new layer behind it and floodfill it with white, if it isn't white already.)

Step Four: Now your done with the hard part. crop off the excess bakground and resize to 500x500.

Step Five: Go to the file menu> Export> Custom Brush A box will pop up and you can copyright, describe, name, ect..

Step Six: Making it into a downloadable brush or brush set. We are done with paintshop now. Go to your my documents folder My PSP Files click on that.
Find the brush that you made and highlight it.

Step Seven: Go to the top of the window, edit>copy open my pictures and go to the top, edit> paste.

Step 8: Create a folder for the brushes, put in copyright and instructions.
Just zip it.

Tips: you can use pretty much any picture as a brush. Make it greyscale and there ya go. Use contrast to make the edges invisible.
