I'm an idiot and I can't seem to figure out the heck people are talking about when they say make a new layer at exclusion and then put in some number to change the color of the icon. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that or where it is in photoshop. Can someone please assist me?

Layer>New Layer (Mode: exclusion; in the pop-up menu) the number is foreground color

Thanks, I think I've got it now, although when I applied it to an icon it came out looking strange 0_o.

Well, I rarely use exclusion.. but if, I use a dark blue color
