Post subject:  Glowing or Aura affect

Hey can anyone help me? I am trying to make an aura or glowing affect around images in a banner...I do not have an example but I have seen it here on a banner. I believe its one of Meganelf's or in one of her posts.

Thanks

Um....have you tried duplicating the picture, applying Gaussian Blur, and then erasing at low opacity?? If thats along the lines of what you're talking about, then Arwen has a tut for it here: http://www.arwen-undomiel.com/misc/effects.html
Hope that helped!! :-D

Um...I'd just put the picture on a white backround and then use the freehand selection tool, feathered, to leave some white as a border...but what software do you have?? I use PSP...
