How do you make a image glossy looking. I have PS 6.0

Duplicate the layer of the image you want to make glossy then in the dublicated layer go to filter/ blur/ gaussian blur and put in about 3 for the radius.
Then set this top layer to soft light or overlay (try some of the other layer modes too)
I hope that makes sense
