I´ve got 2 questions regarding photoshop... what does the slice tool do? For what things is it useful, how to use it etc..? And whaddya do with all the layer and vector masks? Lol i know, rather n00bish, but I've always wanted to know... thankssss to anyone who replies to this!

The slicer thingy is used for cutting up layouts for websites. I think you could use it for image maps but I think that just coding it in notepad's easier. I don't know about vector masks but layer masks are for erasing bits of that layer. You use a paint brush in black to erase bits of it but if you want them back you can use white to get the bits back (at least I think that's the way round the colours go, it might be the oposite) |
