I just started making graphics and everything. DOes anyone have any suggestions for the best sizes to use for avatars,banners,wallpapers,etc. THanks

ummm.....for avatars, use 100 by 100, a little bigger if u have 2. For banners, 700 by 150 or 700 by 300. u can change it a little, but those r generally teh sizes. for blends, I usually do w/e works the best.......usually not bigger than 800 by 800. u can do it bigger, but u'll prob. have 2 resize it b/c otherwise it's 2 big 2 look @. & for wallpapers, i have know idea. i've never made those. sry!! :-D hope that helped!! :) :bye2:

Hi!

If you wanna create wallpapers, the best size is 1024 x 768 pixels, which is, I guess, the most common resolution from people in US and Europe.

However, I use resolution 800 x 600, so when I create a wallpaper, I do both sizes, first the 1024x768, then just a simple resize to 800x600 so I can offer the two possibilities for people to download.

This is what I use:

Banners: 700x150 or 400x100
Avatars: 80x80 or 100x100
Blends: 700x400
Wallpaper: 1024x768

Lol. I must be tired. I read the title of the topic as 'Sizzling Suggestion'. :P Oops.

Anyhows, I would say much the same as others, with a few additions. They are:
-My standard blend size is 500x700.
-My standard linking button is 100x35, although some are 50x50. And there's another size I can't remember off the top of my head. Ah well.
-I think 450x100 is a common banner size, too. I might be terribly wrong though. I'm a bit tired at the moment, and hence prone to being slightly inaccurate.

Well depends... my icons (avas) are 100×100, wallies 800×600 (i have a really small screen ><, otherwise it´s 1024×768)
As for banners... 700×150, 700×200, 500×100, 400×150, 400×100 ... Really depends on how big you wanna make it. =)
Blends are usually random-sized but no bigger than 800×600.
