Sure!
Anyone else heard of a book called The Mysteries of Harris Burdock? Look it up on Amazon... it's a picture, and then a title and 2 sentences. Great for writing.

Go me! I finally succeeded in writing a PotC drabble! Feed back appriciated!
Enjoi!
“Jack,” said Anna, “Jack come here.”
Jack sighed and obeyed his mother’s wish, getting up from his place under a shady tree and trotting to where his mother stood in the door way of their house.
“What’s that on your head?” Anna asked, crossing her arms, but her disciplinarian posture was ruined by the smile that appeared when Jack started to make his excuse.
“Well, mum, it’s like this,” he said quickly, thin arms flailing about. “I was in Papa’s room when I came across this box, and of course I didn’t know what was actually in the box, but it was round. I hadn’t seen a round box before then, so I opened it!”
Anna nodded, “… And…?”
Jack flailed a bit more, “And I opened it up and took it!”
Anna sighed, “That’s another thing I have to tell Papa Teague.”
The boy gasped audibly, then hugged his mother’s legs tightly, “Don’t tell Papa, please don’t tell Papa.”
Anna hugged her seven year old son back, “Alright, I won’t tell Papa Teague.”
“Great!” said Jack, perking up almost immediately and starting to run back to where he was teaching a native Indian boy to play marbles.
“… But you’ve got to give me the hat back.”
Jack stopped in mid stride, and then turned on his heel slowly in an about-face. In tiny baby steps he began to go back to return the hat.
“Sometime this year, Jack,” said Anna with a touch of tiredness.
Jack frowned, but took the oversized hat off his head and placed it in his mother’s outstretched hand.
“Thank you,” she said, “now go play.”
Jack’s ceaseless smile returned and he ran off to continue teaching marbles.
Anna laughed and took the hat back to her room where there was a round hat box open on the floor. Anna put the hat up and then on a shelf where Jack couldn’t reach it.
With one last look at it, there was no way Anna could have guessed that the new leather tricorne she had just put up would become a trademark of the greatest pirate to sail in the Caribbean waters.

sorry i haven't been popping in guys, i've had no time to write and therefore, nothing to talk about.
All i've been trying to do is character development.. sticking my characters in situations and seeing how they would act.

Thankies, I'm actually writing them whenever I get the inspiration to do a little series about Jack growing up in India.

Part 2!!!
(make sure you read the last part first)
June 1st, 2005
Caleb didn’t exactly look at me, but I thought he did. It was at the YMCA, and I was jogging around the track. He was on a treadmill. Now I am sure it was just a sweaty haze. It’s nice to think that he might remember who I am. I feel like writing Caleb alive in my heart.

My birthday party is tonight-I will finally be 18. It’s really hard to believe that I have gone through 18 years of life, gone through all the crap, and haven’t totally broken down. I may have a little, especially when Caleb cheated on me with the girl he worked with at Walgreens. I hope he’s happy, now that his girlfriend has reaped the benefits by getting pregnant. That was intelligent of him. Caleb, where have you gone? I used to know you.
December 11th, 2005
It’s cold outside, just as I imagine it is everywhere. I feel like a child, but I hate being warm. It’s not in my nature to be forgiving, or especially kind. I feel cold. Perhaps I deserve it after crushing his puppy-eyed hopes. Caleb, you’ve ruined me. Reed was amazing, and yet somehow I had to have a flaw to hug. Here’s to you, beautiful boy who drains my pen of ink. Here’s to you, beautiful boy who knotted up my heart.
Elyssa skipped some entries as she sat on her bed reading. She turned each page with the fingers of a thief. She felt guilty as she read, but pushed that aside for something like benign curiosity.

Dad left late last night. It’s not so hard to see him go as it is to watch Mom’s never ending tears. She should be angry. I am. He has no right to leave, giving us no other option than to watch. He should have said something. I’ll scrawl some angry little words for you, Dad. Just what you’ve always wanted: for me to be all that I can be.

It’s hard to be poetic sometimes, but I know that I can push past the times when I want to feel nothing when I write. I can feel the sadness, loneliness, creativity, goofiness, anger, whatever’s in my head, when I touch the paper with my pen. It flows out of me. I’m scared to look at what I create sometimes, it’s like I’ve already put it in the past. It’s not gone, but it is certainly less potent than swimming around in my head.
Elyssa didn’t know what Regina was talking about. But, then again, she considered her place to be in front of the stove. Emeril was her Jesus, and he saved her from everlasting lunchroom horror. She liked to cook her lunches the night before and reheat them at school. Actually, she chuckled a little whenever she ate her favorite teriyaki glazed salmon and sautéed mushrooms when the rest of the lunchroom had greasy pizza or sloppy joes. She could control what she ate, at least. The Bunsen burner incident wasn’t really an accident. She had tried to experiment with char-grilling a piece of lean chicken breast when a freshman caught on to the wonderful smell coming from where she was supposed to be mixing some awful chemicals together. The pursuit of Elyssa’s chicken caused the freshman boy’s hand to get burned. She was happy that he hadn’t got it, because that ended up being her lunch.

The Mary Sue Litmus Test
That'll help you figure out if your character is a Sue or not.
Although I think that having your character with a name describing them shouldn't give you a point or so. That was the original intent behind names, so if I were to run, say, Aphrodite, she'd get the shaft.
