"Hey those are for Pig!" Ron cried.

"Well Pig can share." Hermoine said, and took the package from the owl. She stroked its beak a few times and it flew off.

Everyone was looking in Hermoine's direction, clearly curious to see what she had gotten from Viktor Krum, the famous Quidditch Player.

"Maybe I"ll open it later..." she said outloud.

"NO! No, open it now Hermoine." Ginny said.

"Yeah, we wanna see Ron's face explode." Fred added.

"Its getting real close." George commented.

Hermoine covered her mouth with her hand to stop from laughing.

"Alright, I"ll open it then."

Ron kicked the twins.

"Ah!" They cried. Molly gave Ron a look.

Harry sat beside her and nudged her to go on. Ginny nodded as well. Tonks sat next to Hermione clearly interested.

Hermione didn't like the attention but she wanted to see what Viktor sent her this time. She looked at the window and the owl still perched there waiting patiently. 'Viktor must want a response....must be big.' Hermione thought.

She took a breath and tore the strap that held the package together for the owl, then pulled the ribbon off. Soon the gaudy scratchy wrapping paper flew off and there lay a book. An ancient book it looked like.

"A book? Boyfriend's real creative, Hermione --- wait 'til he gets you a quill for your birthday." Ron mocked sniggering to himself. Fred and George were disappointed.

"Hey, I've seen that before!" Tonk exclaimed.

Hermione picked it up feeling it's huge weight press against the strength of her arms. "It's a rare documentary of experimentation of Leujon Schulkivich. He's done amazing work with a Kappa, but unfortunately his journal is no longer being printed." She opened the front cover and there coffee stains everywhere with tiny little ink marks. Several pieces of parchment fell out from the few first pages. "He's translated the entries! Fascinating!"

And she was off.

Fred and George went back to their noise makers and Harry went and played with Ron on his new chess set.

Yeah.. I couldn't think of anything but a book... and then I would need a name and your so Brilliant at thinking up gifts so I figured, Kit can have the honor,

"It's a rare documentary... he translated it.." Ron said in a childish voice. "Why doesn't she just transfer to Drumstrang to be with Vikie." he added defensively, crossing his arms.

"Because she knows I need someone to keep me from going insane." Ginny said.

"Cheer up Ron, Bill said Fleur might be stopping in for a visit." Harry tried helpfully.

Ron's only response was to grunt.

From the corner Hermoine made small squeals of excitement as she read the journal.

"Hermoine dear, weren't you suppose to write back." Mrs. Weasley reminded.

"Oh! I completely forgot!" Hermoine exclaimed.

"Um...you wouldn't have any parchment, do you, Tonks?" Hermione asked, "Oh and quill as well!"

"Oh that's genius, really." Ron retorted, "I s'pose Vicky wasn't able to spare parchment and a quill to send to you as well."

"Oh stuff it, Ron," Hermione said in a huff and thanked Tonks for the parchment and quill. She left the living room and sat at the now cleared Dining Room table and Viktor's owl flew over to her and stood on the back of the chair.

Tonks looked back at the now angry Hermione writing furiously on the parchment to Ron who was red faced and gripping his chess piece so hard they began to squirm under his fingers.

"Ron, I think your hurting it." Tonks said pointing to the chess piece in his hand.

Ron looked down at the piece and let go immediately, very suprised. "Oh, sorry." he said quietly.

"I'm sure you are." The piece said and turned its back on Ron, going back join the other pieces.

"The journal is wonderful...I can't believe it....glad you like my present..." Hermoine muttered under her breathe, as she wrote. When she finished she capped the ink, rolled up the parchment and attached it to the owl's leg, giving it one last stroke before it flew off.

She came back to the group with the journal craddled in her arms, positively beaming.

"All right, children. It's quite late now -- I'm sure we should be off now." Molly scurried around shaking everyone awake from their half-slumber.

"Can't we stay here, mummy?" Ginny asked leaving her head against the pillow that was thrown on the floor.

"I really don't mind, Molly! It would be a nice change and it looks like you'd have your work cut out for you otherwise." Tonks piped.

"She's right y'know, dear." Arthur said and Molly turned around to see him holding the twins by their elbows but they were both slumped on the ground sleeping .... or...pretending to be sleeping. About the only person who didn't have sleep in mind was Hermione, who was in a corner stooped very low over her new book reading the pieces of parchment and the actual book.

"I've plenty of room, Molly and you two can stay as well! I can always spiffy up my bedroom for you too." Tonks offered smiling. "And I've tons of cushions and sleeping backs and sheets and com--"

"Now, if you insist dear." Molly said smiling joyfully.

You know I was going to ask that myself.. I think maybe.. between OotP and HBP cause well technically it should be after HBP cause Tonks/Remus are together but... well we still have Dumbledore alive and all.. oh I"ve gone and confused myself.. again

"Wizard!" Tonks said and ran up the stairs to get her bedroom ready, and clean.

Molly surveyed the room, most everyone was already asleep or too tired to notice anything otherwise. She stuck her hand in her pocket and pulled out the twins newest creation. She thought for a moment, wondering if she should use it to get all the sleeping stuff and then dismissed the idea quickly. She walked down the hall to find Tonks and where the sleeping stuff was.

"Rubbish." George said sleepily.

"She almost used it--" Fred murmered, stifling a yawn.

"Maybe, next time." George suggested, catching Fred's yawn himself.

"Fat change mum'll use it." Ron pitched in.

"What do you know?" Fred said.

"Boys," Arthur warned.

"Sorry Dad," they all chimed at once.

Remus deciding he'd just as soon use magic and let them all sleep in peace got out his wand and conjured down the sleep things.

"Thanks mate,--"

"We appreciate it." the twins said.

Ah, well alternative universe. Tonks/Remus comes early.

Tonks and Molly came in the room in a huff. "We were getting those!" Tonks exclaimed.

"Sorry, dear." Remus said and placed his wand back in his jacket.

Bill and Kingsleys brought out their wands and all the gift wrappings were stacked neatly in the trash can.

"Thank you, guys." Tonks said.

Everyone was quite tired from all the excitement and so they quickly laid out each of their sleeping bag and took a pillow from one odd place or another. Ginny and Tonks laid their sleeping bag by Hermione's corner claiming it as the girl's spot and the rest of the guys laid around everywhere. Remus particularly by the window in which on the ledge he placed the Moon clock.

"Goodnight, dears." Molly said and Arthur nodded to everyone and they headed to Tonk's room upstairs.

The lights were all out except for the gleam of the Christmas lights on the tree and by now the train was off and spinning around the tree again. Hermione was still sitting up reading back and forth from the parchment and book.
