I just watched Doomsday again. (THough I should have been studying) It was so sad, I cried.
We do need a day to celebrate DT hair. Its just amazing. And sexy. (Scrummyness in its prime) I'm rather busy tomorrow though. Perhaps next week? *Fantasizes about DT's scottish locks*

Okay good. More people crying over Doomsday. Well, not that that is actually...good. But, you know, at least now I don't feel alone and like a completely ridiculous psycho after bawling my eyes out over it.
Yeah, I agree with tim4x about your new avvie! You changed it! I was actually thinking about changing mine to that one...to match my quote. Yay for moving Doctor Who avvies! And YAY for David's hair! Woo!

Yay! I am a master in the art of excessive squee-ing ! It's just so pretty...I want to brush it. I love to groom horses, that's obviously...somehow...transferred over to hot guys' hair I am so marking it on all six of my calendars.
PS. I too love your avvie, Kess

Oooh! There's a date! Yay! Mmmm...I'm excited about the prospective of sqee-ing over someone's hair. Hmmm...interesting. Ha ha ha. Yeah, I have this thing that I like to run my hands through some guys' hair... Kind of bizarre hair fetish...
Yay for grooming horses! I love to do that too...although I don't think that's why I like David Tennant's hair... Ha ha ha. Man, next time I go to my grandmother's...where there are horses to be groomed...I'm gonna think about that! Ha ha ha!

I think I'm the only one that didn't cry over Doomsday.
I'm not much of a cryer over movies and tv shows
However I shall participate most happily in David's hair day. Spamming pics of DT=Greatness.

Yeah, I cried over Doomsday as well, which is odd for me seeing as I usually don't cry over tv shows.
The "Parting of the ways" is when CE leaves, right? I have to say, that was the saddest (sp?) episode, for me personally.
But here is a thought that I had after I watched Doomsday for the second time, couldn't Rose find a Time Lord (The Doctor) in the new parallel universe that she is in?

Quote: *also joins Doomsday crying club* Yeah, I cried over Doomsday as well, which is odd for me seeing as I usually don't cry over tv shows. Hardly unusual for me, I've cried in at least half of the firefly episodes, most of the wire in the blood and Torchwood episodes and tonnes of movies and books. I have much too much empathy for people who don't exist. Thats been debated a lot on the Livejournals, and they;ve decided it is possible, but more likley she'll fall through the rift in Cardiff, like Jack did. I think someone mentioned she was going to be in series 3, but I haven't heard anymore about it.
On the subject of doomsday, is anyone other than me puzzled as to why the TARDIS didn't get sucked into the void?

It would be nice if she is in series 3, but couldn't that cause some problems, seeing as she would want to go with The Doctor again, but he already has another companion? I don't know. Also, why did Rose have Void stuff on her when she hadn't traveled to 'Pete's World' yet? That means that the TARDIS travels throught the Void to go forward and backwards in Time. So the reason it didn't get sucked back in was because it is used to the gravitational force the Void exerts and has figured out a way to counteract it (the TARDIS is living, right?), maybe?

I have much too much empathy for people who don't exist. When it comes to TV, it's unusual. Besides said episode (Doomsday), the only other show I've ever cried during was "Lost." Multiple times. Whether from shock, or complete despair and saddness...or both. Ha ha ha. Books, a few...movies a few. So...it was rather a shock to me that I found myself weeping over Doomsday. I never saw all of Parting of the Ways...but what I did see was fairly depressing. Gah. That'd be interesting if Rose did manage to find a way back...or something. Although, that may just be talk. I don't know how they would work it in. About the TARDIS, that's a very interesting and intriguing question. I never thought about it. I imagine the Doctor would know what he was doing when he opened the void to suck everything in. But I have no idea...but what The~Doctor said...may be possible. I do believe it's a living thing. Ha ha ha...*sigh* Ack...so confusing...so...many theories. Ha ha ha...this is turning into what's like theorizing about Lost. Ha ha ha!

The rift is a huge rent in time and space above Cardiff. The TARDIS stops there in "Boom Town" to recharge, cos it gives off lots of energy. It also plucks stuff from different places and times and dumps them in Cardiff. (An example of this is the alien at the start of Love and Monsters, whcih fell through the rift). Jack after Parting of the Ways (or so we presume) fell through the rift and landed in Cardiff during WW2. You find out about it all in Torchwood. *stops being huge who geek * As for Rose, that would be a funny reunion, she'd probably attack him for declaring his undying love to her then going of with some medical student... Quote: I never saw all of Parting of the Ways...but what I did see was fairly depressing. Gah.
Ooo, you must see it, despite being heartbreaking, it's brilliant, and probs my favourite episode.

What is Torchwood? Besides the group that is responsible for the Cybermen getting to our Earth.

It's a kind of very dark, adult Doctor Who spinoff, thats recently came out in Britain. It has Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper(see banner) as the main characters, and they work at Torchwood 3, using alien artifacts that fall through the rift to solve crime and capturing any aliens that fall through before they cause any trouble. Its absolutley fantastic, I'm a huge fan!

WHAT!!! There is a spinoff about Jack? I never knew that.
Now I want that to come out in the U.S. too.

Yeah, that would be really funny. I can actually see her doing that...well, more of Jackie doing the attacking...but yeah. Ha ha ha.
I really must see Parting of the Ways. Actually, at one of our movie stores, they have some Doctor Who that you can rent. Which reminds me, I saw some episodes of Tom Baker...and absolutely LOVED them. Anyway, they have most from Series 1, but they are usually checked out! Gah!
Anyway, I've had a thought. And I'm not sure if it's been talked about here...so I'm sorry. I happened to listen to the commentary with David Tennant and some executive producer who I have since forgotten her name...on The Runaway Bride episode. They were talking about how in the scene with all the fire and water and the way the Doctor looks (besides very dashing... ). Ha ha. Like he's much darker. And how Donna tells him that he does need someone; someone to stop him. And they were also saying why he looked so...dangerous, and dark...and it was because he was in this like...vulnerable state... without Rose, who, like Donna said, stopped him...or humanized him. Whatever. Anyway, to get to the bloody freakin' point here. We were talking about how CE looked and was a bit darker than DT's Doctor, who was...well...just crazy. So, now with Rose gone...I've been thinking that in Series 3, he may be a much darker character. Even with this new Martha companion...any thoughts? Or have I just gone completely mental?
*wanders off*
*wanders back*
Oh yeah, and I wish we had Torchwood here, too. Looks exciting.
